Jeff Matthews
I still don't see how the bird is subduing the wolf.
jbsl
It is hard to see but I would guess it uses it's talons around the wolf's throat and suffocate it or crush it's throat.
MechMan
As an owner of big birds (Amazon and African Grey) I found this fascinating to watch. I love the Falcon shows as well. but those Eagle were badazz and HUGE!!
j-malotky
I remember learning in a mideval history class I took in college that using birds of prey for hunting was the best way for people to obtain fresh meat back in those days. space_cowboy
I remember reading an article, maybe National Geographic, about early primates discovered with puncture wounds in their skulls. Speculation was that big birds would plunge their talons into the brain, maybe through a certain area, killing the victim fairly quick. I suspect these birds did something like that. In the video with a couple of exceptions, the wolves went down pretty quick. It would be like us jambing our thumb into a candied apple or something.
