I'll have to live with the 36" as I don't really have room to go bigger. Time to buy a bigger house... KLF-10CC is not on TV yet due to EMI. I'm going to build a new stand and place it underneath the TV. It's perched atop a pair of 10's for the back channel, which I also don't have room for. And to think that some spouses complain about SVS's I'm not to thrilled with the mirrors, and might remove them since they're only stick-ons. I threw together an amp box out of some scrap MDF. Need to paint it or build a new one. DIY grills out of scrap MDF. I rounded the outside and beveled the inside edge but it doesn't really show in the pics. Painted Flexstone black. Cloth is "metallic silver", looks pretty neat in person. So what do you guys think? I had a lot of fun building/buying my little HT, but the most enjoyment is movie watching with my boys TV: old RCA 36" DVD Player: Toshiba SD-1700 A/V Receiver: Denon 3802 Mains: KLF-30's CC: KLF-10 Surrounds: KLF-20's Back Center: currently KLH monitors. I calibrated with a RS meter and also the 3802 lets you set the distance for each speaker so it sounds pretty good. Thanks for looking. Dual 15" Adire Tempests, 480L, tuned to 17hz. 28" x 54". Sonosubs are VERY popular on the HomeTheaterForum. Easy to build and the price/performance ratio is awesome. Mine was about $900 which includes a $500 amp. It will literally shake windows 2 houses away. Me after extended listening -> I haven't had a chance to do SPL readings yet, but it should be good for 120+.... I got tired of my sons wrecking/staining the carpet. It's actually a laminate (like Pergo), but it's VERY hard to tell from the real thing as it has a textured grain in it. It'll go down to 18Hz and crank some serious bass also. Don't know if it'll shake the windows 2 houses away, though . Maybe perhaps in the future, I'll attempt a DIY like that (I am not to bad with woodworking - I have built RC airplanes). I would say loose the mirrors on the sub also. I auditioned the REL, plus several other hi-end subs up to around $3k and none really impressed me. That's why I decided to try DIY. My sub will "CRUSH" just about every commercial sub available. Still undecided on the mirrors, but I am looking for something to give it a distinguishing look, perhaps light tubes... m00n, I'd be glad to try and answer any questions you might have. NEWSFLASH: was demoing "The Matrix" for my teenage son and a friend of his back from college. Had it set on "kill" of course. I hope to finish the shelf to hold it over my TV by this weekend, so I can FINALLY see how mine sounds as a CC. C7 should be awesome for rear center. DIY sonosub truly has to be heard to be believed. Oh well, don't we all! I would build my own ht sub but have to wait for funds in order to do it right, once and for all.
