Did Klipsch not "boot" you from this site for "advertising" for your club(s)through "their" forum? I think you attached the number "58" that time to your ID name if I recall, a few were ticked to say the least Smile.gif

Back at it again are we, just curious.............

Whell,

You have an SR19 Marantz; a cool beast from what I have read. Never met anyone that had one.

Nice to hear of another Klipscher in Livonia.

We have somewhat similar systems.

Audio Flynn:

I owned the Sherwood Newcastle separates for a short time. I liked them alot, but decided that, with a new baby on the way, I couldn't justify that much $$$$ invested in my second system. I got them on a steal of a deal to start with, so when I Ebay'd them, I got all of what I paid out of them. Now, my second system consist of what my wife calls my "mid-life crisis system": a number of components that I liked but could not afford in my youth! For example, a Kenwood KA-9100 amp as the foundation of the system. The speakers are a pair of old Infinity Studio Monitors. I am keeping my eye out for some vintage Klipsch to replace the Infinity's though!

Thanks, Christos to you, arco and the always entertaining maxg for providing glimpses into the heady world of no holds barred audio... especially the Klipsch based entries.

The life of a thread is fleeting at best on this Forum, but your Club has provided links to some of the most thought provoking audio pieces ever posted here.

While Klipsch may be made in America... the quest of better sound knows no international boundaries. In fact, it's neat to see just how far things built in Hope, AR, have found places of honor all over the world.

I am decades beyond my last trip to Athens, but your posts bring back fond memories of the people, places and pasta that retain their classic Greek charm.

May your Club continue to prosper and our window on Olympus remain open. -HornED

To be fair to Boomer911:

When skaloumbakas initially joined our merry band he was a tad over-zealous and virtually flooded the forum with links to his and his fellow club members' sites. Some,(I include myself) got annoyed and basically said Sheesh enough already.

In fairness to skaloumbakas:

He apparently got the message and eased off. The volume of his posts promoting his site have reduced to a reasonable level. The result has been that we have gained several of his club members as regulars,(including skaloumbakas), to our forum and I for one eagerly check out the links in his posts.

His over-enthusiasm initially alienated some but his subsequent behaviour has put back in my good graces. His enthusiasm for our beloved hobby is infectuous and I see him and the ACA as an asset to the forum.

True, actually I think 57 was the number. If so, I do apologize Christo. I do remember the threats, and I was also one of those that wasn't to excited. Especially the cover charge to get in. I'm only looking out for the benefit of the board in my way. After last time, red flags popped up all over.

*cheers*
