willland
Domenico, Again welcome to the forum. Are you looking for more power, more features, all the bells and whistles? Have you been happy with the Yamaha brand and would buy Yamaha again? Bill
joshjp
I believe the 667 has pre-outs, if it does ind your happy with the receiver, i would recomend you to get the Emotiva UPA-200 2 channel amp, for the fronts or get the XPA-5 if you have a surround system. willland
Our new brother Domenico is from Italy so we need to be patient with him and offer as much help as we can considering English is his probably not his first language. Bill
SuBXeRo
search function is a nice feature but i always prefer to ask and receive responses instead of sifting endlessly through threads maybe finding what i want

alexg5775
I had my rf-82's connected with my pionner and it sounded great. I hooked them up to a marantz ma700 and wow what a difference. The bass what much more pronounced and highs more detailed and smooth. At louder volumes the speakers sounded significatly better. With the pionner they felt like they were being choked... With the marantz they sounded amazing.... they shined, i was like wow, big time. Hope i helped. You might just want to keep your yamaha and get a external amp. bill has the acurus a250 for sale in garage sale section. It will pair very nice with the rf-82's. Bring those babies to life! Fish
An amp would be fine, but it won't make the yamaha sound better.Onkyo for HT and Harman for music are the cheap options.
elitedemo
marantz 1st and h&k 2nd would be my brand recommendations
Fish
I had a marantz 6005, I feel marantz abandoned their musical heritage.I returned it and ate the shipping it per formed so poorly.
domenico
i knew, When you buy Klipsch, you can not spare money for the other components; Thank you all, but my next step would be marantz (gentle sound). Ciao ragazzi, i'm leaving for a while this forum. Bye from JESOLO - Venezia

Rhetor
I just got the denon 4311 and it sounds great in my setup. I had almost the identical setup in the first Ref line . . . With a flagship Pioneer AVR . . . Went to the Denon 4311ci, and Wow! It woke up my Reference 82 7.1 system so well, I started into the vintage Heritage line . . . while I have changed speakers, I have found the 4311 amazing for music and HT with very friendly GUI!
