synergyfreak
rc-64 on back order have rc-62 in setup with rf-7s; and sub-12 until my new sw-115's show up, was suprised how much better the rf-7s' and sub fill up the room with blu-rays and direct tv hd movies. attached pics http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l282/ejonesunt/014-1_zpsf96a638f.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l282/ejonesunt/011-1_zps175f9b73.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l282/ejonesunt/013_zpsc1a49a4d.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l282/ejonesunt/006_zps05d5c031.jpg

Moderators Youthman Posted December 21, 2012 Moderators Share Posted December 21, 2012 A new screename might be in order. [] Just curious how much the RF-7's are effected being inside that tight cabinet, especially since they are rear ported. I know having my RF-83's behind the false wall hinders their performance. I much prefer them when I bring them out into the open.
Schu
get ready... the sw115 is going to wreck havoc on your foundation. I love mine
Tremors
Agreed. You more or less have a tight box around your speakers and have left no "breathing room". Could be an issue for you. I'd look into getting some rugs as well, those cement floors may open the door to bad reflections. Looking good though! I love the white Kinect with all of the white wood, nice match
Gorm
I've had an RC-64 with my first gen RF-7s...not a good match at ALL. Go for the RF-7 if you can.
synergyfreak
the accoustics are great and much better, had some good wall treatments completed as well, to me the rf-7's sound better. I am also sure that going from a small room to a room in 400 sq. foot range makes them sound better too lol. I can crank them up louder now with having more space to work with. synergyfreak
right now the sub-12 fills up the better than I thought it would, i always understand with tile floors is where you need the throw rugs concrete stained floors to me are perfect with my setup the rear channel r-5800 series in ceiling speakers fill up the room better too much more than expected. synergyfreak
funny thing about the kinect is that i bought the star wars edition one and its white too which matches real good, only if ps3 made other systems besides black. synergyfreak
theres a lot more for rf-7s to breathe than you think made the cabinet a lot deeper so they are not flush up top or in back of the cabinet lot more room.
synergyfreak
my rf-7's were the last gen. they made before introducing the rf-7 II's; talked to klipsch on the phone and said the rc-64 II series matches really good, i am happy the rc-62 for dialogue, but for as big as my room is need a wider dispertion area to hear from back of the roof if that makes sense. derrickdj1
An RC 64/64II will help with dispersion. If possible elevated the center channel a little and give it an upward tilt. Great job on you system![]
synergyfreak
thanks derrick i had a board could set the center under neath, since worried the screw that raises it would scratch my cabinets. My 2 sw115's finally came in just in the process of setting them up hope to have some updated pics by next week, still waiting on rc-64 II.
