CECAA850
I actually happened upon this while looking for a box for another piece of equipment I own. I had to take the box down and open it up to see what it was, I didn't even remember having this. To the best of my recollection, I bought it new back in the late 70's and put it up when I moved from Alabama to TX and it's been boxed up ever since. I don't remember having any trouble with it or I would have thrown it out, I'm just that way. It was as you see it, factory double boxed, and in plastic. I make no claims to it's functionality but it wouldn't surprise me if it worked just fine. It also wouldn't surprise me if it needed a belt and or cleaning. Here's the pics. I'd be happy to discuss price via PM but I would think it would be worth $100.00??????? I'm open to offers, Carl New price $50.00 shipped in the CONUS. stereo_dog
That is very pretty, it's like a little time-capsule cassette deck, nearly brand-new.
CECAA850
Yeah, I looked at the box and saw TEAC. TEAC???? What the heck is in there, and then it was OH YEAH! I remember this! LOL.
Pete H
Just plug it in with your other gear and light up those meters so people can come over and ask you what the Hel! is that. Just looking at the pictures gives me flashbacks of spending countless hours recording music while blowing 5-7 bucks a piece on good blank cassette tape. djk
II'll wager in needs the head-switche(s) replaces as well as the belts. The switches may no longer be available, a gamble for sure. Newer decks (especially Sony) use a relay for the head-switch, replace with an Omron from DigiKey (get the sealed version).

CECAA850
I still have this. Price reduced to $50.00 SHIPPED in the CONUS. I'm basically asking $25.00 for the deck and roughly $25.00 to ship.
Dr Morbius
Yea I remember I had one of those too! Pretty good signal to noise ratio I believe. (For a cassette player, that is).
