Rideoften
Hello, I'm working a trade deal on a pair of nice looking (in the photos) Klipschorns. Serial #'s 8445462 and 464 with AK2 crossovers. What is the selling price range of these speakers in good shape with everything functioning correctly? The deal also includes a pair of Chorus 2's which also look nice in photos. I've seen those advertised in the $600 range. Any help determining the value would be very appreciated. Thanks, Mike
TheEvan
What wood finish? Post the model #. It will be something like KCBR or KBWO or KBOO. I'd say in the $1800-2400 depending on veneer & cabinet type
mustang guy
Welcome to the forum! You are correct at $600 for the Cornwalls. They have been selling on Ebay for between $575 in good condition to $800 in excellent condition. If you could post pictures, we could help you nail down the values better. Rideoften
I haven't seen them yet. They're in Tampa and I'm in Orlando. The model is KBWO and they look like oak in the photo. I appreciate the welcome and the responses. Mike

Rideoften
Thanks everyone. Can the age be determined by the serial #'s? If so, where can I look it up? Mike
TheEvan
1984.If all is tip-top, figure around 2k.
pzannucci
1984.If all is tip-top, figure around 2k. Based on the model of the crossover, they are mid 80's. Finishes like very nice oiled oak cabinets with riser - normal pricing I would say is in the 1800-2200 range. This would be for a pristine set. Other finishes may be slightly more but again would need to be pristine.
Rideoften
Thanks everyone. I think we're getting close to coming to terms. I'm starting to get excited about this. Mike
Daddy Dee
Mike, Welcome to the forum. Hope the deal works out for the Khorns!
Rideoften
We have a tentative agreement but now I have to wait until spring break to close the deal. In the meantime, I'll just listen to my KG4's and wonder how great it'll be to upgrade to the Khorns. Mike
Jeff Matthews
Good luck! You better have a big room with good corners for them. They're big.
mctrigger
hi, what if you dont have great corner for the horns? would it be a waste of money if you dont? or should i purchase a set of cornscallas instead? or just plain old cornwalls? thanks
Turbox
what if you dont have great corner for the horns? would it be a waste of money if you dont? I think we already answered that question if your other thread. Its not a waste, it depends what you want. http://community.klipsch.com/forums/p/170692/1898691.aspx#1898691 should i purchase a set of cornscallas instead? or just plain old cornwalls? thanks I think you also had another thread here asking the same... http://community.klipsch.com/forums/t/170691.aspx At the end, you will need to decide which way you want to go. Have you listend to either in the previous two threads?
