I was working at Circuit City at the time. It was cool, we thought it would last, and then VERY shortly after, they introduced CD-R and CD-RW Recorders and out it went. HAmmer32261
Yup thats right Youth i had a Sony MD unit in my car at the time and i remeber it was so much easier than CD's because you didnt have to worry about the MD getting scratched or damaged if it fell between the seats not too mention alot easier to handle and load while driving [Y] there's a brand new one for sale on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/271122681164?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Rivernuggets
Cool to see an MD unit! Around 2002 I had multiple portable MD recorders and a Sony MDS-JB920 home deck. Lots of fun. Enjoy your 'new' addition!

I think the official name is the Victor Company of Japan. I used to have a JVC integrated w/7 band graphic eq, built like a tank. It finally died, beyond repair.
