Scrappydue
I have a about 3,000$ worth of rc gear in my basement. That's only including original buys. Not parts to fix as they break. Cause they do. ALOT! And unless you have a buddy to mess around with or a club to go to, the stuff gets SO boring by yourself.
JL Sargent
I have a 1/2 doz. RC helis. It gets old when a light crash costs $100.00.
Scrappydue
Yeah I have a very small heli and a simulator as well. Bought the sim to try and get in the 3d stuff. But when I realized I was flying 5,000$ ones and crashing them about every fifteen minutes I decided 3d flying wasn't for me.
philly0116
My kid is a cub scout. They had an experienced RC pilot come out to a local park and do a little flight show. It lasted about 45 seconds. The guy was flying his plane across the pond and, not sure why and I never asked, but the plane did a nose dive right into the pond shortly after take off. The only thing I heard was the pilot say was, "There goes $1200". When I was leaving the guy and his son were rowing a canoe out to try and salvage the wreckage. Taz
Love when Magnum blows that p. O'**** RC Plane of Higgins outa th' sky with a shot-gun. I'd like to shoot a few rocket arrows at some. I'd probably miss but I bet the owners anxiety would go way up. Taz
mustang guy
A couple of airsoft guns strapped to the wings and you have yourself a non-lethal drone. Edited December 3, 2013 by mustang guy

McMiRA
I had a ton of RC cars and boats both electric and nitro. Only have 2 nitro cars and my origional rc10 that started the downward spiral of negative investments. It was fun for a while, started looking into flying, bought a RC glider, spent a week building it. Crashed it 2 minutes in. That marked the end of my RC aircraft adventure. I think the cheapest one was a boat powered by a weedeater engine. A lot harder to crash a boat and that engine was cheap to work on.
