Boo_Boo
Just posted to CL in WS, NC- Fortes for $300. Not mine, no connection to seller. If I didn't have a pair of Fortes and Chorus, I'd be all over these.... http://winstonsalem.craigslist.org/ele/4271251210.html
wuzzzer
Welcome to the forum! I wouldn't call them stupid cheap but they are on the low end of what's usually seen for asking prices. Seller states they are walnut but they look like oak in the pic.
twistedcrankcammer
Look like walnut to me! Roger
Shakeydeal
I might have to investigate this. I am only a couple hours away. Shakey
mustang guy
That is an extremely good price.
Boo_Boo
I wouldn't call them stupid cheap but they are on the low end of what's usually seen for asking prices. OK, fine... Not stupid stupid cheap, but cheaper than I've ever seen any on CL. I've purchased two pairs of Fortes, one for $500 and the other for $425, so, given the market I'm in, $300 is sweet. I'm only 30 minutes away... and already have a couple pairs of floorstanders that need to be thinned from the herd. Sigh.

Pick them up and cost average down your collection.
toolz
Interesting, I purchased Forte I's in WO for $350 a few years back and thought I got a good deal, but $300 that is a deal.

twistedcrankcammer
wuzzzer, I was only one of 3 students invited into Wood Shop 3 in high school. We built prodjects that the teacher sold for our class credit. I worked as head frame maker in a custom cabinet shop for 5 years, and worked in a custom laminate 2.5 years. I know wood, it's as simple as that... The grain was all wrong for Oak. Roger
