Electricmanscott
Now that I'm working on a "real" theater with an AT screen and RF7II mains I'm thinking about the center. I might get another 7 for the center but for now I have the 64. When using vertically like I have in the picture, should the horn/tweeter be pulled out and rotated or left alone? Schu
rotating would be proper... but I dont know anyone that has done so.
fuzzydog
I thought the horn's horizontal and vertical dimensions were identical so it shouldn't matter.
jvanhambelgium
The tractrix horn is indeed square but the dispersion patteren is NOT. I believe it is 90° WIDE and 60° VERTICAL so rotating the speaker will have impact on soundstage.
Shodrewken
If that is how the 64 needs to be positioned, it might be a better idea to get another rf-7, that would be the optimum setup anyway for the front sound stage.
toolz
Details, details...does it sound OK to you? Listen to it for a while, you will change up things again and again. Its a Klipsch forum thing.

I do plan to get another 7. Know anyone selling one? Anyone want to buy/trade? Thanks for the replies!

BlackGTS
That one in NO has been for sale for a while. Think it has some dings but that wouldn't matter behind an AT screen. He might be more flexible since it has been for sale for a while. Ron
Sancho Panza
He's gone down on the price, too; which may indicate flex on price.
Electricmanscott
He has that on Ebay too. It's pretty beat up but it is going behind a screen so it might be worthwhile to check it out.

Looking at my 64's horn I see that the throat is not symmetrical.
Schu
no horn is symmetrical in the klipsch line that I know of.
Deang
There is a slot in the throat of the horn which should be oriented vertically. At any rate, I used to listen to RC-7s in that position, and the horns have to be rotated 90 degrees.
