dougie834 Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Having living with my h3 for a few weeks Im suprised that a loudspeaker costing less than 2k can sound as open live and dynamic as them,I carnt think of any speaker near the price which would come anywhere near them in these areas,I think the retail cost is very cheap for the amount of speaker you get alone with there performance,is the reson the cost is low because the basic design has been around for so long ? mungkiman Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 They're easy to build, and don't use a lot of material. Quote
gnatnoop Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 they are a big box and this is not the style that most consumers are looking for...supply/demand....you are getting a bargain because others want what looks good instead of what sounds good.... Quote
beeker Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Or like some of us when i think of a great looking speaker i immediately think of a heresy. h3 is a gorgeous example specially in black Quote
Turbox Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 they are a big box and this is not the style that most consumers are looking for...supply/demand....you are getting a bargain because others want what looks good instead of what sounds good.... Everyone is looking for the sleek form factor. WAF is an issue as well(but you can always get a new wife) Heresy is a great little speaker(it is little). IMO there is nothing nicer that a great big 402 in your living room. When your horns are bigger than your TV, your know your good. 2 Quote
ricktate Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I was at a stereo shop where PWK was having a demo and they had a pair of Heresys showing a tree being cut down with slides. I guarantee everyone in the shop jumped when the tree hit the ground I know I did . I thought it freaking cool. Rick Quote
Sancho Panza Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Have seen Heresy III go for $200 to $1700 (MSRP) a pair in the last year. Quote

Schu Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I think I have seen that grill and badge before... I am wondering what specifically makes them "wide" and what makes them "Signature edition"? they do look slightly wider at the woofer, but I can not tell if it's just the angle or not. Quote
Sancho Panza Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I use them as Wide in my HT; other pair as Surround, single as Center. Quote
Sancho Panza Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Signature Edition made under direct supervision of Mr. Klipsch, 1986, & have his Signature embossed on the speaker badges. Also have Cane Grilles & Flat Risers. Quote
