sully141
When I was in a magnolia store they had the 60f8500 next to a 60 inch oled and there was almost no difference, the oled did look a little better tho. I'm assuming their 8500 was calibrated because my picture isn't as good as theirs.
Gas0line
If you can still find one, Panasonic ZT60... I have the VT50 65" from 2012 and it will blow away 95 percent of the tvs on the market today. I also have a 50" Pioneer elite Kuro. Some if the best tvs ever made from pioneer and panasonic. jimjimbo
Calibrate it yourself with the Spears and Munsil disk. Very easy, very comprehensive, very good.
sully141
I tried spears and munsil disk it made some things better and others worse. My parents had their lg calibrated and its picture smokes the Samsung 7100 series, so I'm a firm believer is the BB calibration, I will have my 8500 calibrated once I get more hours on it. psg
Well, I went to the store. They had the 60F5300 in one room connected to a cable provider and a smaller 51F8500 in another room connected to Bell Satellite, making it hard to compare. All their sets are out of the box and not calibrated (not likely not using a movie mode). Both images looked good to me, with good blacks, so I am not really much closer to deciding. I did like the brushed metal finish of the F8500.

sully141
The 8500 is the brightest plasma made at this time and the lower models are not that bright. If your use to led or LCD then the 8500 is the best bet, I had a LCD and it took a month to get used to the 8500. I almost returned it but then I realized my screen was bad and had it replaced. psg
In spite of how great a bargain the F5300 is, I splurged on the F8500. Should be delivered early next week.

psg
Yeah, I am not so good at taking pictures of screens with content and there are lots of pictures of the W6000 on the net already. But there are pics with the screen down in my galley! https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/gallery/album/23-psgs-ht-room/ :-)
