For that kinda money a Detroit boy would get a Mustang GT.

I smoked many a Porche in my GT back in the 80s; but I guess American cas are too droll in the current day.

The Germans need your dollars to bolster the EURO anyway.

my uncle has a ford cobra, like a 94 i think. it is fun. however, the mustangs of today i HATE. my aunt got a 2001 or i guess 2002 since she got it mid 2001, mustang. all plastic, cheap plastic, inside and just, a blah car.

we have not owned an american car in a while, besides the 300M and we still own one, 2000 Dodge Viper, black. in the caymans, one reason i am so happy i will be going there in a few days Smile.gif ihave a feeling we are going to sell it... since we only drive it onces or twice a year.

Mustang GT? No thanks, thats what all the spoiled brats at my school get for their 16th birthdays.

The only Audi at my school belongs to a kid whose dad owns a large construction company in Reno and he is going to MIT on a engineering scholarship. He bailed me out of a chem project, so he is kewl with me!

It's all about torque, which, no kidding , a 1.8 liter engine SERIOUSLY lacks at 2,000 RPM's. Hell, some V-8's aren't great at low RPM's. Diesel, well, screw the handbrake on a diesel.

Just use the handbrake and it will be fine!!!

Just don't stall in the middle of pulling out of a driveway on a busy street!

I picture a bumber sticker:

"I have a stick, so I'm gonna roll back into your a$$ if you don't back off!"

Hey Justin - sorry to hear you lost your Range Rover.

That was the car I wanted but the company wouldn't cough up the $$ for it so I ended up with the new Discovery.

This is the first V8 I ever owned (I know they are common as Toyotas in the US but here in Europe they are fairly rare).

So far I am really happy with it. They certainly packed in the luxury when Ford took it over and it has one plus over the Range Rover - 7 seats!!

I have a friend from the US staying over at the moment and even he said "Goddamm Max this is a big car!" Of course he was talking in reference to the little ant like cars we tend to drive over on this site of the pond.

Could you imagine driving a stick in SF? I mean, a car with a auto will roll back on those hills!!!

No, but I do know what it is like in Pittsburgh! Those hills there are just as bad! It is especially fun when it is snowing to beat hell! It was even more fun up in Northwestern PA where I lived at one time (and where I learned to drive a stick) Some of those hills are steeper than our local ski hill!

Hey, Justin, I believe it is possible to get blank bumber stickers that you can print on with your printer. I ought to make one of those up for my truck (although both of my vehicles are sticks) Smile.gif

Nothing really fancy, just a 1999 Saturn SL-2 and a 1990 Mazda B2200 pickup truck.

I used to have a Dodge Charger, but hit a patch of blackice on the interstate and spunout and wrecked! The car was totaled. cwm45.gif.

Boy, how did my promotion turn into Road & Track? Hmmm.

Well, I'll chime in on this. I have a 1993 Taurus SHO. I love people that don't know what it is get all puffed up about how easily they could beat a Taurus. Until they learn the truth about the SHO.

Well, 100 posts.

So where's my million and exec. washroom key?

I'll take that in small bills, thank you.

Just pack it inside a couple of Khorns and send 'em on out to me. And you what, I'll even pay for shipping. LMAO.

I really do want to thank you all for putting up with my crazy notions and answering all my questions. I'm looking forward to 1000.

Maybe, I'll have learned something by then. Ha

Kinda cool that we have several off us reaching milestones in our postings near the same time. It's definately Miller time.

And double cheers to Justin for making it to the big 18. Enjoy the times my friend.
