opusk2k9 Posted November 12, 2014 Author Share Posted November 12, 2014 Correct, the seller is wrong. The second item is a 3300 preamp, I have one as well. If you look at the pictures, you can tell it is a model 3300. The 250 power amp is really a 250M (m for the meters). Marantz did make a 250, but it doesn't include the meter display. The thought they might have the manuals. I am not sure how you can prove they were "never used" unless they have been sitting in boxes for 40 years. He changed his ad to say Model 3300 but still calls it a tape monitor. I emailed them the sold prices on eBay, to shed a little sanity on the pricing. I have seen the 250(M) and 3300 pair go for ~$1500 in the Chicago area. Maybe, I should polish up my 250M and 3300 with cases. I told them that most wouldn't consider them "never used" unless they were sitting in boxes for the last 40 years.
