shoe11
I believe this topic was brought up a few weeks ago in general, but I wanted to know between the two makers above, which one people either use presently or would buy if in the market for one. Talk amongst yourselves. ------------------ Current System ---------------------- Denon AVR-3802 Sony DVP-300 Sony X33ES CD Turtle Beach Audiotron Klipsch RF-3 II Klipsch RC-3 II Klipsch RS-3 II Klipsch RSW-12 Monster Cable M-Series 35" Mitsubishi TV
T2K
I use/have used a Panamax Max1000? for about 8 years. It works. I'll buy another Panamax. Keith
Mighty Favog
I'm using a Monster HTS-5000 and it's been working great. Perhaps the ten outlets aren't enough (is it ever?). Using that let's me know just how crappy my electrical service really is. ------------------ Tom's Money Pit
chickey
Panamax Max 1500 and Max 1000 daisychained together. Worth every penny. Lightning storm two weeks ago toasted my one neighbor's phone, and my other neighbor's air conditioning compressor. No problems here (knock on wood). busterfree
I have used the Panamax 1000 for about ten years now with no problems. ------------------ busterfree
boa12
may be kinda scamish, but had the power co put one of their surge supressors on the house meter for about $5/mo. believe its a panamax device. also use various monster including the hts-2500. good sized box w/ pretty lights. so looks like i'm a both panamax & monster guy. monster can be had online pretty low. got the 2500 for $170. check yahoo shopping/price scan. ------------------ My Home Systems Page
Rob's Klipsch
I have a Panamax 5300 I bought a feew months ago and I really like it. I did quite a bit of research and I felt that it was better quality and value. Just my 2 cents.
prodj101
because you can never be sure who gets there parts from where, I would get the Panamax. a good bit cheaper, plus, theres a good chance it's exactly the same as the monster. ------------------ -Trevor
ShapeShifter
I'm using a Monster HTS-3500 and like it, especially the DC Trigger funcion. Panamax may have this as well? The Power Center turns on the receiver which triggers the power up of all outboard amps and other associated HT components. Do agree with Tom, 10 outlets never seem to be enough as new components are often added. shoe11
Sounds like about an even split between the two. Still researching a bit, but I should be picking one up shortly. Thanks everyone for your opinion. -shoe ------------------ Current System ---------------------- Denon AVR-3802 Sony DVP-300 Sony X33ES CD Turtle Beach Audiotron Klipsch RF-3 II Klipsch RC-3 II Klipsch RS-3 II Klipsch RSW-12 Monster Cable M-Series 35" Mitsubishi TV
Mike Lindsey
I too have the Monster HTS-3500 and couldn't be happier. I used to have a terrible hum coming from the cable outlet to the cable box. I now run it into the 3500 and back out to the box. It's now dead quiet... Mike
