Dr Morbius
If that is a Mercedes, then it's an older model - 1970's ish.
Guest thesloth
Am I retarded? (don't answer that) $450 doesn't seem too outrageous to have a bad *** looking tube glowing in your car's console. I like the output power analog meters, in fact I like the looks of the unit as a whole. (hehehe....unit...........whole.....hehehe) Someone with a car needs to buy this thing, if you live in the southern New Hampshire area I will install it for free. Shipping to the states is expensive though.
tube fanatic
Forget the car. I wouldn't mind having that in the house!!! But, I would definitely get rid of those red LEDs which they installed under the tube sockets (of course, they could have used green or blue which would have been worse)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eU49Adu2vIs&feature=youtu.be Maynard

I agree, they might be red but I think it's more of an amber color. Regardless I hate LED underlit tubes! I built a tube preamp for a local guitar player years ago and put one under the tube (at least it was functional, it did bias the stage) and everytime I see it I want to remove it. He loves it though. I don't know what I was thinking :/
