Is it time for a forum dedicated to tube gear?

Well, most of the peeps in the 2 channel room use tubes, dunno if it's justified...

You mean this forum ISNT dedicated to tubes?

Heh....I remember the days when I used to waste hours here arguing FOR tubes with the die-hard spec patrol.

Where have all the flowers gone?

I suggested the very same thing a few months ago and it seemed to fall on deaf ears..

Maybe your post will have more luck.

PS - I have been on holiday for the last 2 weeks - did I miss anything good?

Actually when I say holiday I mean it - no computer - no car and no music - just me the wife and the baby on a very small Greek Island drinking Tsiporo (a bit like Ouzo but much more palatable) - mental note - must cut down on the baby's drinking!!

maxg,

A bit off topic but since you mentioned it; I recall that during the period I was bumming around Greece, whenever we did a shot of Ouzo at this one place, they liked to bust a clay plate over your head. Do they still do that or was it an isolated tradition? Also, does your wife (thats kind of presumptuous so let me include you as well) have any good recipes for Souvlaki?

Plate smashing is a cretan tradition but not too common elsewhere. I prefer my ouzo with ice but without the added pottery.

As for recipes for Souvlaki - I cant help you and neither can my wife (I didnt marry her for her cooking skills). I could provide you with the names of some really good Souvlaki shops for when you next come down to Athens if you like...
