Used to be used a lot with the Hammond B3 keyboard I think it was. yeah but they do not look like that one and they don't have moving contacts like this one does. Still this will work to make the effect a driver at each end would facing in opposite directions would have generated 3db more output and eliminate the need for the counterbalance which adds nothing to the output.
