hogwylde09
They are selling for $250.00. Is it because the R-15SW is what they are gravitating towards?
JJkizak
Do you mean RSW-12? JJK
mustang guy
The R-12SW isn't the same as the R-112SW, and there is no R-15SW just the R-115SW. Even the R-110SW specs more power and LF than the R-12SW. The 10 and 12 have less powerful amps and less LF extension. Still, -3db at 30Hz is not bad, just not world class. Klipsch says it can spit out 116db.
Matthews
I had two of them, R-12SW. Quickly sold em'. They are NOT the high quality you would expect from Klipsch. The cones aren't even cerametallic, just colored plastic. However, dollar for dollar, they are not that bad and an inexpensive entry into the sub world. Paducah Home Theater
You see them because that's what the big box stores like Fry's can get, and they're able to buy, sell, and ship them cheaply, and they're popular due to the price point, so they advertise the crap out of them. The same places can't even get the good stuff. The shipping alone on a larger sub can be almost that much.

Beware the ebay "buyer beware" sellers, who buy it at Frys or the like on sale at 1/2 price and then turn it around and try to make a profit. They have every right to do it, but that's why there's so many out there.
teaman
I just bought one from Fry's last week. Not the best sub but far from the worst. For $189 shipped I will not complain.
