RangerSix
I've read reviews of the movie. Lukewarm at best. It seems to be a good popcorn movie with lots of action. The movie will probably appeal to fans of the Rock or action junkies, but don't expect any thought provoking dialog or scenes. One movie that might be worth considering (coming out the same day) is Brotherhood of the Wolf. It's a French movie, but I hear it's pretty good (excellent video quality, butt kicking sound/bass, and engrossing story). I'm looking forward to it's release. ------------------ Ranger "honesta mors turpi vita potior" Mitsubishi WS65819 Denon AVR 4802 Denon DVD-1600 Denon DCM-370 Sony SCD-CE775 SACD Klipsch RF3II (Mains) Klipsch RC3II (Center) Klipsch RS3II (Surround) SVS 20-39 PCi (Sub) ProntoPro TSU6000

prodj101
yeah, it's a decent movie. I saw it on pay-per-veiw while in millwaukee. It is just a ton of action, and terrible acting. But, it's one of thsoe movies where the bad acting maeks it enjoyable. ------------------ New music system: 2.1 using SF-2's (soon to be RF-7's), and an RSW-15. for amplification Mcintosh MC02105, B&K PT-3 preamp, Sony SACD player. pioneer turntable. IndyKlipschFan
Ya bunch of Jabronies....It doesn't matter what you think...If you smell what THE ROCK is cookin..... No real offense to anyone here...You gotta watch the show to understand!! OK, so I am a closet WWF, now called the WWE to be exact, fan. Leave your brain at the door and just enjoy it for what it is. Action, action, not a bad story and I am sure more of what is to come in more films produced by the WWE with various characters in it. These guys act just like most in hollywood do..Sometimes right on..sometimes way off. Then again it is just brain candy so enjoy it for what it is.. Good solid rental, 7-8 movie. Would have loved to have seem the out takes in this one too. I bet the flub ups would have made a great highlight role...LOL
oogins
I won't. I saw it theatres. I was laughing throughout, not at the funny parts, but at how stupid many of the parts were. Fortunately it was cheap night so it only cost $4 instead of $13.
sj993
LOL... I haven't seen it yet, but will rent it from Netflix... I don't expect a whole lot from the movie, just action mostly. ------------------ I am Canadian!!!

NOZ
Got it and watched it yesterday, pretty sad. Lots of action, terrible acting. The sound could have been a lot better, especially for all the action.
synthfreek
I'll second the recommendation for Brotherhood of the Wolf. Pretty awesome. It DOES have an english dub to boot. Sorry off topic.

Jalen01
Just rented both S. King & The Brotherhood. Neither are anything to write home about. I thought The Scorpion king was a little better than I was expecting & The Brotherhood was a little worse. But, the brotherhood added a "Boobie Count" of 8, which helped spice up the painful plot. Review: Scorpion King - *** out of ***** The Brotherhood of the Wolf - **.5 out of ***** Conclusion - Rent Them before you purchase!!! RangerSix
I really liked Brother of the Wolf. Great fight scenes, excellennt sound, and yes, even nice boobies. Now Scorpion King was even more of a disappointment than I anticipated - even as a popcorn flick. I fell asleep through it twice. One can only hope there will not be a Scorpion King 2. Guest Webmaster
I rented Scorpion King the other night and even though I expected it to be pretty bad, it was even worse than I thought it would be. Brotherhood of the Wolf on the other hand, I loved that movie in the theater. I plan on picking up the DVD today. That movie was great visually and I thought the fight scenes were good too. I also loved how they go most of the movie without showing the wolf.
