Power buttons inside and close to each other or apart on the outside? Most importantly why?

I have mine inside/near each other. No idea why.

Arranged to keep power cords from crossing other wires / cables. At least that is how I remember it from Craig when I got mine.

I happen to have mine with power buttons close to each other... don't ask me why. I would prefer having my power cords close to each other so I can route them in tandem.

I've also had them back to back facing away from each other 90 degrees off axis/perpendicular to the face of the speakers... I like this way also.

So inside or outside is dependent on where the rest of the equipment? I thought we all cared about form not function in this hobby ;)
