marksdad
morning, i have been mulling over a pair of cornwalls for 2 days, the seller tells me he will sell to me for 800 plus shipping, could take me to 1100. is that a fair price for what looks to be a good pair of cornwalls? need advice quickly
Audio Flynn
Boy you were up early ...or maybe late. If you can get a pair of "Classics" in very good to mint condition that you like the cabinet finish color that is not too bad. You should call in Mobile Homeless from 2 channel forum and ask his opinion. My Chorus IIs I bought 2 months ago were ... -mint -black -$800 and close enough for me to pick them up Not a steal but not unreasonable. Good Luck Rick
Audible Nectar
If they are in good condition, they are worth it. I paid $700 for a pair of Oak Oil Cornwall II's (near mint) and would do it again in an instant. I picked these up, though. If they are in less than very good condition, you can do better. ShapeShifter
Hi Mark, Did the seller identify the Serial Numbers, type of tweeters, squawkers, woofers, networks and cabinet finish. These considerations could affect pricing too. Hope you received photo's of both speakers as well. Wes
fini
Mark, Shapeshifter is correct. Give us specifics about these particular speakers. Values can change dramatically based on age, finish, and most certainly condition. Where are you, and where are the speakers? fini
Flason
If those are the ones on ebay from Mississippi, sounds like a good deal. The only thing is, I could swear that I saw them on Ebay about 6 months back. Not sure what the deal with that is but thought you might need that kind of info. Good luck and welcome aboard the ship Heritage.
horn player
For what it's worth - I sold a set of oak 1985 Cornwalls (6/7 out of 10 cosmetically) about 6 months ago for 900 and I paid the 162.00 shipping costs from VA to IL via Yellow Freight. I got a discounted shipping rate through the company I work for, so I ended up paying about half the going rate for shipping.
