Jef Guess you are referring to the base speaker sits upon. Likely removable, do not know how attached if attached. ? Others will know... JefDC
Yes the base, in the Klipsch specs is called plinth
billybob
Would make sense for shipping if it is in place, whether attached or not. A description of the package contents may help, until others get here.
billybob
Saw a couple of references to rubber feet that you put on I presume: Pros- Build quality, - Truly impressive sound Cons- super cheap stick on small rubber feet! Yes, I recommend this product.
Ceptorman
Look under to see how it's held in place, I'll bet it's screwed on.
Iteachstem
The plinth on my RP-280FA's were secured via 4 screws. I would guess it's similar. Carefully lean the speaker over and have a good ol' look and see!

Iteachstem
I used these on a set of speakers. They work great for non-carpeted floors. Fish
They are removable. I'd prefer outrigger feet. With nothing on bottom they could be knocked over more easily. I actually liked old 7's feet just fine,as cheap as they were on speakers costing 4 digits.

JefDC
No it's the plinth.

JefDC
It is also 'interesting ' to note that in the advertisement pictures Klipsch visually removes the slant and make them look standing straight.
OO1
the risers plant the speaker firmly on all sides to avoid tipping over or onto the sides . it's a tall "n quite heavy speaker
