Xtomasx Posted December 31, 2023 Share Posted December 31, 2023 (edited) So the other day I notice the highs in one of my speaker were lacking. Change out the tweeter and still the same problem. Took a look at the xover and inspected it for anything loose and found the varistor is toast. Anyone know what value these are so I can replace it. Thanks in advance. That’s because there is a 100 ohm resistor in parallel with the polyswitch. When the polyswitch tripped, the signal was rerouted through the resistor. That you can hear sound through it means you didn’t blow a diaphragm. It’s the correct part. You’ll be fine.
