Poindexter
So here's a question. . . What are your personal favorite speakers at Best Buy?? Here are mine: Bookshelf: Bose 301V - Probably the only Bose speaker my ear likes Sub: the 12" Sony - Great value, sounded good, so I bought one (online, not at BB, didn't want some kid to bug me about buying one of those plan things, cheaper too with shipping) Those are the only 2 I like, haven't been there in a really long time so I haven't checked out the Synergy line. Plus, when I worked there back in '97, they sold some killer Eosone's. Looked and sounded great. Pricey and could handle a lot of RMS power. Big fan of the entire line. Invidiosulus
Seriously, The synergy SF-2's at the local(orlando, FL)best buy smoked every other speaker in the store in terms of sound quality and clarity. The ease of which the klipsch played loud was indeed pleasant but since I already own heresy's it was no suprise. From listening to the other speakers the only ones that came close were some of the JBL fake studio series. That sony sub doesn't happen to be a WM-40 does it? I don't really have a personal opinion on any of the subs as I don't have any and don't bother much with them. Peace, Josh
Unreal
Klipsch sf-2s for floor speakers. The athena f-2s are also nice. Subs, either of the Klipsch subs. Bookshelf, the JBL studios are nice and sound good. The klipsch are also very nice. The sb-2s and 3s are good.
Poindexter
I didn't know they had Athena's!! May have to check them out when I get motivated enough to drive out to BB. Anyway, yeah the WM-40 sound's like the model #. Just fill that thing with some poly fil and you've got a good sub for the same price as a diploma frame. Fish
I don't have a problem with best buy,but the Klipsch there is WAY overpriced imho.My local bb has sf2 pairs for $600.00,woh!think I'd rather have rf3's.
TheEAR
B0$e and Sony WM40 sound good... LOL Now I see the type of customers who shop at Best Buy
Poindexter
I hear you. Think about the target audience at Best Buy. . . People come in and buy $5k computers and flat panel TV's, then the Best Buy people come in and say "Hey check out our Audio Department!" I guess it's kinda like being on drugs. . . except for the whole destroying your body/life thing. You wake up one morning with no money and look for stuff to sell to get that McIntosh amp. It's like an ongoing cycle
Poindexter
Yeah, I know that those 301V and WM-40 would still get crapped on by any Klipsch, they were the only 2 I even looked at at that store
