Tom Mobley
From Parts Connexion: NEW ! Cardas Golden Ratio Capacitors feature two Golden Proportioned dielectric layers, separated by a metallic which produces "Retained Energy Scaling". The amount and rate of energy released is split between the two dielectric receptacles in proportion to their constants. This composite dielectric eliminates the resonant signature of monolithic dielectric and provides constrained layer damping. Cardas Golden Caps embody the same magic that lives in Cardas cables. Golden Ratio construction yields a smoother, more musical capacitor, without a sacrifice in resolution. They measure extremely well and sound awesome. ******************************************************************** Weak in the "double quotes" section but a really strong contender in gobblede**** blather. Really--> "The amount and rate of energy released is split between the two dielectric receptacles in proportion to their constants. This composite dielectric eliminates the resonant signature of monolithic dielectric and provides constrained layer damping." Just read it aloud, then read it again leaving out a couple random words. Voila, pure genius at work. Do it again, leaving three or four random words out, doesn't change the meaning at all. That's 'cause it had none to begin with. Whatta classic, now where is that little yellow button?

I can already tell from this description, that I won't be able to afford the same magic that lives in Cardas cables.

3dzapper
Sounds like Multi-Caps to me with the added benefit of a higher price. I redid the coupling caps on a 299C with Multicaps with very pleasing results. Rick PS: I wish Welborne would have another sale like they did last year on those Multi-Caps. Tom Mobley
that was a killer sale. I got 4 2.2 Hovlands for half price and a bunch of the oval 0.1 Multicaps. Still have the Multicaps, want some? I think I have 10.
Deang
Cardas puts out some nice hardware, and his entry level interconnects are killer for the money -- but it's apparent the man has gone off the deep end. I like the 10 section MultiCap.

scott0527
I hate that damn resonant signature of monolithic dielectic. I'm glad it's been eliminated.
