m00n
WOW... Either $700 each or $1,200 for the pair. This guy must not know the going rate for these cornwalls. Last I heard they were going for around $600 ~ $700 These are over priced.... Right? http://www.craigslist.org/eby/ele/57316061.html
J.4knee
IMO yes they are overpriced but I am not the world beiggest CW fan. I have seen CW's on e-bay in excellent condition fetch a grand and some change but 1200 + is just too much. They do look nice but yeah I think that is just too high. m00n
Why don't you care much for the cornwalls?
dodger
They are over priced compared to any prior sales. mOOn: Some say that the original Cornwalls varied widely in sound. I can't say. dodger
Daddy Dee
I couldn't imagine them selling for that price. I just paid a few dollars for Khorns. He does mention OBO, but of course, have no clue as to what he'd actually take or if he is indeed a motivated seller. Maybe he just promised his wife he'd list them for sale. Vavoline
They would have to be one of the exotic finishes and in prestine condition for me to pay that. I've got less than $1250 in BOTH of my pairs.
fini
Likewise, these are not the pair you want. If they were in your backyard (and you could save on shipping), AND they were in pristine condition, maybe. Be persistent, but patient, Grasshopper... Budman
the pictures he is using are the same pictures that a lady in chicago is using to sell hers on ebay as we speak. i have e-mailed her with no response. # 5746541466

Just spent some $1400 on a new couch, chair and audamen yesterday. My bonus is all but spent now.

There's nothing crappy about thinking that way m00n. Heck, look at Gary. I doubt he feels guilty?

This is also a problem I have with the sound of a lot of sub woofers which is why I don't have one yet. Granted this is just my opinion. In reality CW's are an excellent speaker and there bass goes very deep, which, I think, is why a lot pf people prefer them for listening to Rock/Hard Rock, I just prefer the sound of the horn loaded bass but I admit my LS do need some help on movie tracks to get the bass a littel lower. garymd
I think those who are used to horn-loaded bass may prefer it over non-horn-loaded. I love the sound of my corns and will never get rid of them. I also love my khorns. They are different sounding speakers and it's really just a matter of taste. Corns ARE great speakers. No argument there.
m00n
I understand... It's for the extra kick in bass is why I want the corns. Had the belles and I always felt that lacked bottom in. At least for my tastes anyway.
garymd
m00n, You won't feel that way with corns. Trust me!
J.4knee
These are on e-bay and they are not thrashed but hey maybe they're worth a look. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=61378&item=5746966317&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=50597&item=5746541466&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=61378&item=5747506686&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
