GOPHER
Trying to figure out which wood is this. I've looked at most of the pics on the site here, and can't find a match. Though I guess it differs much within the same wood type. I don't have access to the serial #'s for a while. Thank you

Mighty Favog
You don't need teh actual serial number to tell. There should be some letters to the efffect of "OW" (Oiled Walnut) or "RB" (Raw Birch), there are a few others too. But all that info is on the same tag on the back of the speaker. Thank you---------------- At first glance it looks like Rosewood to me as well, however due to the exposure of the pic...some of it leans toward Mohagany a bit. Depending on the year it was built and care taken, they can go through quite a bit of color change throughout the decades. If you're looking to color match then Minwax has 20 or so to choose from. Frzninvt
Looks like Walnut Lacquer to me, Mahogany is striped and more reddish. Rosewood has different graining to the wood.
garymd
Definitely laquered something. May even be raw birch, stained and laquered by the owner. It seems to shine more then a standard Klipsch factory laquer job.
3dzapper
Brightened up a bit, it looks like laquered walnut to me. http://forums.klipsch.com/idealbb/files/woodk.jpg Rick
