myram
I am starting to lean towards the 20-39pc instead of the 25-31pc I thought I wanted. I already have full approval of the wife(very important part of the buying process)....so now the 8" difference in height of the 2 models isn't that big of a deal. I like the 20-39 more because of the deeper bass extension, which I think will prove a bigger difference from the KSW12 I currently use. Within a week.......I'll be ordering.....then posting a full report. ------------------ Klipsch Quartets - fronts Klipsch Academy - center Klipsch KG 1.5's - rear surrounds Klipsch KG .5's - rear side surrounds Klipsch KSW12 subwoofer Denon AVR-4800 Denon POA-5200 THX Amp (fronts) Sony C-67ES CD Player JVC 36D201 36" TV JVC HR-S3600 SVHS Player JVC XV-M565BK DVD Player Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2100 Digital Cable box Playstation 2 Monster Power HTS-2000 Monster Cable M-series Speaker Cable and subwoofer cable Monster Component, S-Video, and Optical cables RS HT Gold Interconnects
erdric
Good decision to go with the 20-39. It's the most popular model for a reason. More and more we're hearing/feeling movie soundtracks with sound down to 20hz. Having a 25hz model might have you thinking 'Am I missing something from 20-25hz?'. I know that sounds kinda silly but it could happen. Human hearing supposedly starts at 20hz so why not cover that range entirely? The 16hz model covers it as well but doesn't have the punch of the other two, it's a bit 'smoother'. The 20-39 is the best of both worlds. Congrats on the SVS! You won't be disappointed. ------------------ Primary System: Main KG-4 Center KV-3 Rear RS-3 Yamaha HTR-5250 Sony DVP-S560D Panasonic PV-9664 Sony DBS system Studio: Main KG-3 Sony STR-AV920 Pioneer PD-4351
myram
erdric... Are you still getting a SVS? We could split a pair and save about $40-50 each. Let me know soon if you are interested in doing this. ShapeShifter
myram, Congratulations and a great decision on the SV20-39. You're in for a real treat! Try setting all speakers to small when you get it, you'll be pleasantly suprised at its performance. TheEAR
TheEAR(s) was converted by last weekend testing!I am now a convert. What can I say, then a product delivers so much for less then the competition I have to be impressed. http://216.37.9.58/ubb/Forum4/HTML/002461.html Yep,the SVS Ultra is a High-End sub and a GIANT bragain. Now I start to think two to three pairs can equal or surpass the Krell MRS(still a showcase of Krell quality and power).
