Great Halloween Costumes

I need ideas, I am thinking of going as a bag of groceries, I would need to build a fabric grocery bag that goes down to just above my knees. In the bag I would place a hidden support on my shoulders to make it appear that the bag is full. On top of the support would be a halved paper towel roll, head of lettuce, celery, etc. Every year we go to a party and I am looking for good ideas.

Maybe build up a box out of foam core for shape and cover it with kraft paper (brown wrapping paper).

BTW clever idea. There could be some gags in the contents. but nothing comes to mind. You could write some grocery store language on it.. Paper or plastic, 10 items or less (fewer).

While we're here: A kid is in the 10 items or fewer check out line in a grocery in Cambridge Mass. He's got 12 items. The check out person asks, "What's your problem. Do you go to Harvard and you can't count, or do you go to MIT and you can't read?"

There could be a drawback to the costume. Don't drink too much beer at the party

I would suggest a rather simple approach.........

Use black-out makeup around one of your eyes. Then get a white T-shirt and put a big, black, block letter 'P' on it.

Then you can go as a Black-eyed pea! LMAO....[]

Or you can do something more elaborate like what I wear.

Unfortunantly, I'm not that creative...I've either gone to Halloween parties as a bum in rags or as a Roman in a toga (white bedsheet).

This year I'll go to the company Halloween party as a streaker! Already have the running shoes, so it'll cost me zilch to make (of course jail time and court fees for indecent exposure will cost me dearly).[]

My costume plain and simple, just get a folder paper and draw a smily face. Then tape it, or use a string to tie around your head or on your face. It works for me, 10|10 costume![]

I saw a guy wearing regular street clothes, but around his waist was a string with a potato tied to it. The potato hung right in front of his... When you asked him what he was, he said "A Dictator."
