thebes
Thanks to able assistance from a Tennessee gentleman, by the name of MikeBSE2a3 (I call him Mike for short) I'm over the hump in building(refurbing) a new toy. We're talking monoblocks here. Seems like an appropriate for a little get together. I've got a couple more weeks of soldering and tweaking ahead of me, plus some burn-in time and I'm going to be busy mid-February so I'm thinking late in the month or early March. Food, fun and we get to scare my neighbors with major sound. What could be better. So let's chime in and let me know what works for you. A show of hands please. customsteve01
The more the merrier. What can I bring? Will the twins be there? If yall have it the end of Febuary I am going to invite the twins down to Houston for free BBQ and beer so they wont be at Thebes place. Now that should be enough to get everyone to agree to the first part of March for the Gathering. Hmmm, The Gathering........................ THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE...................... Sorry, having a movie flashback. Steve
thebes
Boy offer up some free food and they climb in their cars and start driving. Sorry I'm just getting back to you, I've been soldering like mad. Hmm, that burning smell may not be the solder, oh well I've got Mike on what I sure he thinks has become a permanent retainer. From the jist so far, it's looking like early March say the weekend of the 3rd (Saturday-Sunday I don't know). Why you ask, because I'm cheap and Steve can bring us all a bunch of barbeque back from Texas. See if you can round up some of that nice vinegar based North Carolina sutff, not too sure aobut that ketchup they call sauce down in Dubya-land. By the way, I most strongly suggest that the birth of a baby hardly compares to the resurrection of pair of monoblocks. I mean think of it, they've been making babies since just about forever, yet how often does Thebes actually make something work. Besides consider the wonderful pyrotechnics you will be witness to when I plug those suckers in. Yhe Natonal Capitol Planning Commission has already demanded I get apermit for fireworks outside of the 4th of July. Fini, better start googling for a cheap fare. Craig, stay home, you know how excited you get around The Twins. The last time you saw them you needed oxygen. You can come but I want a medical waiver. Big Al might come to my house? Ohmygod, maybe if I dust he won't notice the fact that I have crossovers from Dean and Bob. Might even clean the toilets, nah that's going way overboard. Come one come all the to teh show that never ends, never ends, step inside, step inside...
customsteve01
If you want some of that nasty NC BBQ you need to find someone else to bring it. We dry rub our meat and it makes its own sauce.[] I will see what I can do to get some ribs to bring with me. I think we are only planning on cooking about 4000 lbs of meat so I think I can snag some. Steve

kaiser SET say
thebes! being a Texan all my life I first want to state Dubya is not a Texan but a wanna be, his whole clan migrated out of that Marths's Vinyard area and them try to call their new local their home, George moved to Texas because he thought everything there was bigger and he obviously fell into that thought pattern but he will never be bigger than that 5'6" frame and no smarter than a frog trying to cross an eight lane highway at rush hour! Second, KC is the ketchup based BBQ sauce region of the country as far as I have ever been able to tell but the next time I go home to Austin I'll go out to the Salt Lick and send you a bottle of sauce that will change your mind or perception of Texas BBQ sauce[] next time I go out to DC to visit my brother I'll look you up and good luck on those amps[H]
