Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted January 20, 2006 Klipsch Employees Share Posted January 20, 2006 As there is not much to do in that part of the world, what would be your idea of fun on Sat night? So far the agenda is : Meet in Hope on Fri (night) SAT: quick bite to eat and then start the tour of the Hope plant, museum, engineering lab break for lunch that part is easy but what to do next is the problem here is a short list of ideas I had. Klipsch "town hall meeting" a Q&A with the folks at Klipsch listing of your gear and ours golf at the country club with listing and dinner inside the club house (they have khorns in their dinner room) outdoor concert bon fire and bbq All are just ideas nothing is in stone other than we are having this one in HOPE. fini
Can we just hang out at your sister's place? Or at Ms. Tucker's?
Moderators Amy Posted January 20, 2006 Moderators Share Posted January 20, 2006 We'll probably plan a tour for Friday afternoon so you guys can see it in full operation, but then also plan something for Saturday. Try to get there early! []
cyclonecj
Personally, I would love to meet with Chuck, the guy who set me up with the "Palette of Klipsch".

Daddy Dee
The BBQ and outdoor concert sounds very good. Seeing the plant in operation is an awesome idea. I believe Fini will want some free time built in the schedule for an appointment at the goat roper.
fini
Can't Sandy just set up a mobile unit in the Holiday Express hospitality room?
Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted January 21, 2006 Author Klipsch Employees Share Posted January 21, 2006 Chuck is a good idea. I will give him a call... So far this is the list of Klipsch folk that will be in Hope: Trey Jim Hunter Roy D Mark K (product develpement, the guy that had the largest hand in getting the Cornwall back) Chris Williams Pro engineer Lee Broks Pro engineer Jack Sparks (the guy who runs the plant and is pushing for the Fri tour) Folks from the plant Steve Phillips (customer service / tech support)

Daddy Dee
Can't Sandy just set up a mobile unit in the Holiday Express hospitality room? YEH, That way we could take advantage of the volunteer sound system setup. Now, what CD's should we play for such a setup.
Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted January 23, 2006 Author Klipsch Employees Share Posted January 23, 2006 Dee are you sure you want to ask that question?
Daddy Dee
Dee are you sure you want to ask that question? Trey, You are right. Better not to ask that question. One thing from the last Hope gathering that was alot of fun... .... the police escort I got to the Goat Roper was really cool. This time, if we could get the high sheriff to turn on the lights and siren, that would be awesome.
BEC
Dee, Our escort to the Goat Roper did use lights and siren. Guess our group got the "deluxe" treatment. Bob
Daddy Dee
Bob, You are right. I'd forgotten that he pulled that guy over.
fini
"Now, what CD's should we play for such a setup." Well, how about the Arkansas State Song? "Arkansas, You Run Deep In Me" I kid you not... http://www.50states.com/songs/arkansas.htm
dtel's daughter
Ok ... we have possible golf for the guys and i have tried my hand at golf... why is it so much easier to hit a moving ball ? What are we women gonna do ? Do we get to drive the golf carts? Kidding... In all seriousness we are looking forward to going.
Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted January 26, 2006 Author Klipsch Employees Share Posted January 26, 2006 There is a lot of history in the area. The shopping is ok, small shops and a mall. This will be in June so we can go frog gigin or snipe hunting or even cow tippin
DrWho
haha, cow tipping sounds fun [] The concert sounds like a huge blast too. One thing I think would be cool would be to do some blind listening comparisons across the speaker lineup. You know, like F3 versus lascalas versus cornwalls versus RF7's...perhaps even throw in a Jubilee too. I would also love to see a time-delay AB comparison too (a speaker with compensation and one without). But ya, I think it would be fun to get a huge list of comparisons to make. It'd even be cool to see some DIY projects (thinking more along the lines of amps and crossovers). I just finished designing a really cool AB amp selector that we could use for comparisons too. I am definetly going to be bringing some Nightwish this year...I'll see if I can't find some other stuff to scare all the old guys out of the room with too []
Daddy Dee
DrWho, Frog giggin is the best option of all those Trey has mentioned. Trust me on this one.
dtel's daughter
Daddy Dee Daddy Dee... I asked my mommy what frog gigging is since I have heard of snipe hunting and have a sister who has cow tipped but she wont tell me ... She laughed and wont tell me ... can you tell her to be nice ? and she said you have to explain frog gigging ?
