mike stehr
I don't have a flatbed scanner. Can one of the copy shop places like kinkos scan and put the image/artwork on to a 5 inch CDROM or a floppy disc?

Absolutely, any STAPLES, OFFICE MAX, etc..., or even a regular Photo Developing Shop will be able to do this for ya.
WMcD
I see that at the Walgreens near the office they have a set up to scan photos. That is the same thing. Gil
ironwoods
Hey, If you have more than 1 image to do, it may not be all that more expensive to buy an entry level scanner. This could also depend on the quality you're looking for. Here's one at CompUSA for < $50 http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=308587&pfp=BROWSE
toddvj
Nope, I called, they can only put it on a 7 inch CD-Rom.
Marvel
Nope, I called, they can only put it on a 7 inch CD-Rom. Uh... CDs are only 4.75 inches across. Too funny. You can get an Epson usb scanner for $100 or less. They work great. I believe that model also has a built in light and adapter for negatives and tranparencies too. Attached is a slide from 1978. Excellent gradations. Detail is good, you can even see the light standards on the bridge. Pretty fast scanning too. I am much happier with the Epsons than the HP scanners (we have both at our house).
