jwc
Michael. Welcome back by the way. Yes the Cornwall sounds good. You know I like it. Just from a software estimated response in that cabinet and from my own RTA testing, seems the port would need to be changed a bit to get rid of a peak between 60-80Hz. Now I'm NOT saying it would sound better. The existing port is maybe what gives the Cornwall the "slam". I remembered you saying a different woofer for the CW3 but like you, noticed the K33E specs on the Klipsch Site. jc
colterphoto1
Spoke with Trey today, he said the K33 in the specs is correct. The prototype we heard in Hope had a KP pro series, but they changed back to the K33 for production. The tuning wasn't significantly different. Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted April 10, 2006 Klipsch Employees Share Posted April 10, 2006 I think all we did was shorten the port by about 2 in. Move the woofer up closer to the horn. New Mid and HF units New xover. Changed the finish to Laquer only. (thats 40 shen clear I think, but we can find out) Other than that, they are still the same. Sonic Reaper
Changed the finish to Laquer only. (thats 40 shen clear I think, but we can find out) Trey So a veneer is not used, just a Laquer? What type of wood was used for the cabinet? jorjen
Sonic Reaper, A Cherry veneer IS used with a Laquer only topcoat. Trey was only talking about the Laquer topcoat. You still have Cherry veneered MDF(I believe)as your material.
