Guest " "
OK, I have constructed a scenario where this might work. First you need an airtight or near airtight room. Then run a fan with some electrical issues so that it produces a lot of ozone. Now ozone is good way up in the atmosphere, but bad to inhale a lot of. Now add in someone with a condition like asthma, really bad asthma, and maybe that person could die? I don't know, it's better (for me) thinking that I have reached a new plateau of the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Lets add reaching over to the fan to turn it off once it starts raining and you electrocute yourself. Fan has issues and sparks set off the gas range because the fan blew out the pilot light, house explodes.

sheltie dave
Jay, the important thing is to validate your parents' wise counsel so they feel confident to let you go out in the wild world. Let them know you have found hundreds of incidents involving fan mortality. They might include electrocution, decapitation, blunt force trauma, fire, choking, blunt force trauma, cold stroke, suffocation, cold stress, heart attack, falling from heights, and just being there. Tell them you know a friend who has lost over twenty relatives to tragic fan accidents. Dang, the things are so dangerous you might even donate all the fans in your house to Goodwill to protect your parents. After you have your fun, thank them for being concerned, and let them know outside of electrical fire and electrocution, there are no documented cases of mortality from proper fan use overnight[]
