Wardsweb
The Lone Star Bottleheads will be meeting at my house in San Antonio November 4th. There will be a good mix of gear from vinyl and reel to reel to CD and digital sources. There will be tube, solid state and hybrid gear; New, old, vintage, and DIY projects; floor standing and bookshelf speakers; and the traditional eats and brew. http://lonestarbottleheads.org/meeting_sa.html
Mike Lindsey
If I only lived in your neck of the woods! BTW, bought the B&W album and have been playing it alot lately! Great recording, and all of the music has grown on me. Mike
Wardsweb
It really is a well produced album. I've actually recorded on 10.5" reel to reel and sent around our tape swap. Now that it's back home, I play it in place of the vinyl. Helps to keep the vinyl mint. I'll be sure to post pictures of the meet, so you can live through the meet in your mind's eye. jt1stcav
I'll be sure to post pictures of the meet, so you can live through the meet in your mind's eye. That's what I'll be looking forward to. For those of us whom can't make it, pics are always nice, and Ward's pics are always great (from previous gatherings).

Wardsweb
I will be showing the Manley Labs Stingray at this meet. EveAnna Manley liked my picture so much, she put it up on their website. She's even sending some swag to give away. Then I get an email from their head of sales, Albert Schippits, that he's going to try and make it too. Mike Lindsey
Nice looking amp! How does she sound? Mike
Wardsweb
Nice looking amp! How does she sound? Mike It really is a nice amp that's going to push whatever you want. On my custom horns, there is some synergy with the tubes, power, JBL woofers , JBL Tweeter and Altec horn. There will be a lot of gear at the meet to play with and listen to. Tarheel
Nice equipment and setup Luther. Wish the event was closer. The reels of tape are starting to roll in from the tape exchange so I will enjoy those while you all party. Best to everyone! Chuck
capo72
Luther, a while back I was inspired by your big DIY speakers. What mid driver are you using on that Altec horn. I see the tweet looks like the the sweet JBL 077 slot. I remember you talking about tweeking the port length a while back, to get it right. Which JBL woof is that. Also if I have not asked too many questions yet, how didi you go about designing the crossover? Tanx for any info you wish to offer,. The crossover is a combination of the Altec N501 and the JBL 3106 modified for the appropriate drivers.
