iwillwalk Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 this is a great movie for everyone sound is great, the way its made & the creativity is pixars best i think Quote
sunburnwilly Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Tried to rent it yesterday but predictibly all were gone . Instead I rented X-Men III , wow , when he drops the bridge down it made me feel slightly queasy . Another low hz moment is when Juggernaut is busting through the brick walls ! Not a great movie by any stretch , but worth owning as a demo !!! Quote
iwillwalk Posted November 11, 2006 Author Posted November 11, 2006 hey sunburn you might need to put plastic on your seats.........you now what the super lows can do..........hope you like cars ...great jokes good voices but i'm wondering how it will compare to x-men 3 there are some lows in that movie i turnd it down some Quote
theryugobuddy Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Funny -- I saw this and thought it might be about The New Cars, the re-formed Cars with Todd Rundgren in front and Elliott Easton and Greg Hawkes with two others -- killer stuff-- Quote
wuzzzer Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Fun movie to watch. Not a ton of LFE information, but enough. When Mack the semi fires up his engine it seemed like there was a semi right in my room! [] Quote
damonrpayne Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I really heard very little about this movie when it was in the theaters, is it really good? I assumed it flopped. Quote
DrWho Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I enjoyed it a lot....I couldn't believe the amount of "adult" humor either [] Quote
IndyKlipschFan Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Fun movie to watch. Not a ton of LFE information, but enough. When Mack the semi fires up his engine it seemed like there was a semi right in my room! ------------------ Are you crazy? It was just insane in my house tonight watching this a little louder than normal with my kids.. (So not screaming loud maybe - 35 on the Sunfire... OMG, IT IS INSANE how good this movie is. The little things, too, like when your out in the dessert and you hear bugs chirping or in the town with the backgroud elevator music like what it sounds at the ,mall without people in it. Multi Channel separation is HUGE and picture quality is a home run. Either I finally got it right now in my system, or something is just more insane than it has ever been. The opening scene when he is dreaming of his win in his head... If you do not feel like a NASCAR car is in the room with you almost, your missing out.. I did. Quote
DrWho Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 How loud were we listening to the circus at that other night? Quote
ARPRINCE Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 My kid who is 8 yrs old likes it a lot. We actually watched it 3 times already!!!! The funny things is, I enjoyed it every time. [] Quote
wuzzzer Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Well, in my defense, my wife does not let me turn the volume up as loud as I do when I listen to movies by myself. I've watched the beginning of the game Gran Turismo 4 for PS2 at very high volumes and definitely felt that there were real live race cars racing around my basement. [] Quote
IndyKlipschFan Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 How loud were we listening to the circus at that other night? ~It's all about compromise~-Mike Bentz Between - 40 and down to - 30 at times.. Seems to me - 45, to - 40 is a great range for most movies. ~ Roger Quote
Tom Adams Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 I have to agree. I believe this to be the best Pixar film yet. Audio is just outstanding and the animation is awesome IMHO. And you really have to watch the film at least 3 times (or more) to be able to catch all the little subtleties. Anyone notice that those wispy clouds in the sky were tire tracks? And finally, FINALLY!!!! Automobiles sound like they should. Lightning: "....piston cup." Mater: "He did WHAT in his cup?" LMFAO......... Tom Quote
IndyKlipschFan Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 As Tom so eloquently pointed out, lines like this cracked me up! Lightning: "....piston cup." Mater: "He did WHAT in his cup?" LMFAO......... I agree, and so many lines like this in the movie... You miss 1/2 of them. Quote
damonrpayne Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 We watched this with our daughter through netflix. I agree that it was good. The most amusing part to me was the outtakes at the end with car-ified versions of some previous pixar films. Quote
sunburnwilly Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Finaly got to see it the other night . The animation is stunning ! Some of the surround seperation is excellent ! But I found the movie to be so so . Quote
leerocker Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 watching it right now for the second time Also wanted to try this file attachment thing so check it out if i did it correctly Quote
HatTrick66 Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Has there ever been a more "surroundy" movie? What a ton of fun! Quote
