I don't know where you can find these but...

My dad's friend who lives at River Oaks in Houston (houses start at like 1 million) has windows with LCD's in them that can be turned on to tint the windows in his home theater. I had this on my rear view mirror of my car (till a stupid tropical storm named Allison picked it up and washed it into teh Buffalo Bayoucwm23.gif) and it worked great. So, if you have about 5000-10,000 bucks to spare... why not do that? LoL! Worked for him... yeah, but who has 10,000 bucks lying around? if you do, ship it to me Smile.gif

Actually if you alternate your eyes (one open one shut) in sync with the 60Hz refreash rate divided by the incident angle of the glare it should fix your problemcwm12.gif

However if that does not work you could try and anti glare screen (expensive), window tint, sunscreens (maybe only a southern thing it is a mesh like material that cuts down on UV and visible light), or get some drapes.

k-d You are right about window tinting. Do a local search for residential window tinting. If you don't come up with something go to the busiest car window tint shop and they'll most likely be able to help you. I got my olds achieva's windows tinted (20% but wish I went with 15%!) and while waiting in the showroom I saw literature on residential tinting. They have some really interesting tints availible too! How about mirrored? that would look awesome I bet!

Here's one I found on the net

Bigbusa,

I have contacted a car shop that did all my work on my previous cars and trucks. I did not even know they did that sort of thing! I am going to go with either 15% or mirror tint(if it does not cost to much)

I have a sliding blind now and it sucks. Personally I would like to break the damn windows and stud it up and fill it in with sheetrock, but I am tring to be as real as possible. Also a big factor will be what the wife thinks and she is not to happy with any of it.

I got a price from my local dealer today to install mirror tint on 2 windows. the 1st one is 30" by 72" the other one was 32"1/2 by 72"1/2. Price: 248.82 !!!!! He advised me to buy the materal (82.00) 13ft of 36" wide tint and do it my self. The dealer knows I can do it that is why he told me. Now I have to see of I can get a blind or something else in that price range and if not I will be putting the tint on next week.
