lwhaples
Thank you Larry, I was thinking about your signature just the other day. I wonder if I will look back on all this and think " I should have just bought that McIntosh 275 FIRST" lol, I guess the joy is in the journy... ~N Yep! The journey is what it's all about. Enjoy! Chicago_Pete
Im sure you will like it Noah. I bought mine about 5 years ago and just recently started using one of them while my Mac 30's are out at Craigs being recapped. Congrats!

Chicago_Pete
If someone is reading this thread and thinking, I wish I would have bought that ST70, I would be willing to sell either one of mine for the same price. Or both of them? I paid $1000 when I bought them. I will be getting my Mac 30's back this week, doesn't make sense just to hide these away again. They also have the cloth leads. Guy Landau
Congrats to both of you guys. Noah, I'm sure that you'll enjoy this amp. It sounds very sweet and my friend did a great job rebuilding it. Guy

Pete...........Are they still available? I'm looking to power the high frequencies on my RF-7's with tubes. Audiogon has one but I'd rather deal with a forum member besides I'm only about one hour from you if you're in the Chicagoland area. Thanks, Scott. alliclaytor
Same question as Scott, I would be interested in one if he passes or doesn't want both. Please feel free to pm or email me, I am in Ohio but make it to Lafayette, IN occasionally which is fairly close to Chicago. Thanks, Clay

cjgeraci
Well I got a good deal on it so why not pass it along to someone else who might want to get into tubes. I really want some VRD's come fall or early winter or Craig's newest creation who know's. In the meantime I'll use my Magnavox that I rebuilt. It'll do for the summer. Thanx guys, Mark Mark, you will really enjoy your VRDs when you get them later. My search ended with my pair after I sold my beloved 8B to get them. Noah, congrats. Still one of the best bang for the buck amps, and a true workhorse. I run a very similar modded ST70 for the top end of my rear Belles (with QSC on the bass bins). I hear a JuicyMusic Merlin calling your name (or a similar Juicy product). Carl.
