thebes
It's a Heathkit AA-141 stereo preamp I think from the early 60's. Saw something on the web that it was $35 new in kit form, which in today's dollars is what, $317,000 or so. Cute looking bugger with a neat retro look that was part of the test equipemnt stash I picked up. Tubes light but no output so I'll have to fiddle. Hey it's only electricity. 5 Mullard 12AX7's came with it also.

Hey, anybody got an old Healthkit badge laying around in a drawer that would fit this thing?
oldtimer
It's a 59 chevy prototype before the corporate brass got hold of it. It turned into this:
scott0527
Sweet, gotta love the "leatherette" fiinsh on the cabinet. I've had this pair for some time now. I'll probably be selling them soon. I need to thin some of this vintage out for a while.

thebes
Hey Scott, you woldn't happen to have a copy of the schematic for the 141 would you? Mines busted and Craig's going to help me trouble shoot it. That's a sweet looking tuner and the preamp certainly looks familiar. Vroom, Vroom! He had an original for $25.00 so maybe he would get you a copy for $5 or $10. http://www.myheathkits.com/ws/orig-fs-index-page.htm This website has general fun information about Heathkit. You may have already seen it. http://www.heathkit-museum.com/hifi/hvmaa-141.shtml
Slappey
I have the Heathkit AA-151 paired with Kg4's and its magical. The AA-151 is an integrated amp. Probably the same preamp as the 141.
