Fish
I found the bass less natural sounding with my subs on It's likely this is due to factors other than the rsw15,set up/room/adjustments etc...
oldbuckster
I think the trick to using a Sub Woofer is ..... NOT noticing one's in use !!!!!!!!!!!!!
JJkizak
Yes, the sub (RSW 12 wide open) extends the frequency response from 40HZ to 19HZ. You don't have to pretend to hear anything below 40HZ. as tested with my frequency test cd. JJK

lakedmb
I always use subs in my Heresy setup, dual SVS PCi 25-31 . When I'm listening to my Cornwalls I don't use one, but that is only because that setup doesn't have a sub included right now.
Moderators Youthman Posted March 5, 2008 Moderators Share Posted March 5, 2008 Yes, I use my sub in 2 channel as well as for movies. For my room size, the Velodyne 15" is way too much. On the back of the sub, I have the volume at 3 (out of 10) and on the receiver, I have the sub set at -10db. Now it sounds great. As mentioned, it is not noticed until you turn it off. Before, I was constantly wanting to turn to look at the sub because it was up too loud and distracted me from the sound. Now it is dialed in just right.
