Jeff Matthews
Wow! How's everyone in the Ike path doing? Two weeks forced vacation. Electricity off at home until last Thurs. night. Office building finally re-opened today. We had some trees down in the yard. Fortunately, no damage to the home. Some neighbors were not so lucky, as trees fell on their homes. Pics of coastline areas are just horrible. Still, around 300,000 people remain without power around here. Glad to be back.

Mallette
I'll try to post some pix we made in Seabrook tomorrow. The place is a wreck. Very sad... Dave
RIGGED25
Everything is back to normal here in good old Alvin,Tx. They finally removed the tons of dead trees from our street-revealed patches of dead grass it did. I don't regret tuffin it out, even though there were a few hairy moments, it was worth it. The wind made strange noises as it made its way through-our favorite tree fought the good fight but sadly, lost the battle. Being sans power for 9 days was worse than the actual storm itself. Perhaps I should have not yelled >>> Is that all you've got Ike? You're Rita's bit** boy! lol RIGGED

Wrench722
My power came on Sat. Still cleaning up around here. I guess we were pretty lucky.
Mallette
My favorite Seabrook restaurant, Merlion. Somewhere under all that is a superb wine collection...
Mallette
Merlion was on Merlion Inlet, Galveston Bay and about a mile and a half from my house. Most everything on this street was flattened by the surge.
Mallette
2nd street, about a quarter mile west of Merlion. Old Seabrook took a major hit. Lots of antiques now toast. Estimate 287,000,000.00 damage in a town of 10,000.
Mallette
Toddville Road runs right along the bay. Probably some bargains on waterfront land here if you are interested.
Mallette
...Rigged, Wrench, why don't you come down the the "Battle of the Titans" at my place in Seabrook Saturday? RIGGED25
Dave, I will try to make is Saturday-I've always wanted to hear the mighty Klipschorn in action. What time will the festivities commence? RIGGED
Mallette
We'd love to have you! Come early, stay late...no real hours and some are sleeping over (and probably some others who don't know it yet!). Main event of comparing Frazier Eleven and Klipschorn probably around 4 or so. However, feel free to get there whenever you wish. I'll be at it from AM on... http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/109044.aspx For details and map. Dave
