  1. Yeah, it's from the Sacred Heart album. Dio always had a quote from one of his songs on the back of all his albums.
  2. 4.5 I guess I'm just a poser. It would have been even lower if I hadn't seen so many geeky movies.
  3. I use a 3803 as a pre-pro in one of my setups. For amps I use a Parasound Halo A-21 for the RF-7s and a Parasound HCA-2205AT for the rest, an RC-7, RF-5s surrounds and RB-5IIs rears. Just to see what it would do I used the 3803 without the external amps for about an hour or so one day. It wasn't too bad, you can definately get all the volume you need. Where I found the internal amps really lacking was in the smooth upper end and the amount of good deep bass you get with the nice big amps. All in all I think Denon goes pretty well with Klipsch.
  4. It works just like the manual says. I always watch Dish or OTA broadcasts while listening to music on the 3803.
  5. Not too bad for a disaster movie. I was entertained for a couple hours. That's good enough for me.

    Last Man Standing

It was pretty good, basically a remake of A Fistful Of Dollars.
  7. I'm not that sentimental, change can be a good thing. Personally I would like to see Lucas redo most of the second half of Return Of The Jedi. After all the great battles between good and bad, and the great special effects, the rebels finally defeat the evil empire and win their freedom with the help of little people in cheesy Teddy Bear costumes. I thought it was lame when it first came out and it doesn't get any better with time.

    The Punisher

It didn't amount to much. I'm glad I just rented it and didn't buy it.
  9. Any way it sounds good to you is the right way. Get yourself a nice amp with some good power and get away from the receivers amps and you will see a big difference in your RF-7s, smoother with loads of bass.
  10. Try telling her the truth, you bought a sub. If you have to lie about something as trivial as buying a sub so she doesn't get mad then I would figure this relationship is doomed from the start.

    Kill Bill, volume 1

I agree, I really liked the 1st one better. Even though it was supposed to be one continuous movie, part 2 had a different feel to it. Every time I would start getting into the flow of the 2nd movie it seemed like David Carradine would get into some long winded speech, and the pace of the movie would slow to a standstill. And whatever happened to Sophie the lawyer from pt.1?

    Man on Fire

Yeah, it's in DTS. That's always a plus.

    Man on Fire

I thought it was pretty good also. Denzel is an excellent actor. The audio was nice too.

Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO is the best political show on TV. Nothin's sacred, everything and everybody are fair game. But you need an open mind to enjoy it. I've just recently started checking out the forum over there, it shows real promise.
  15. It's not overkill at all. I use an RC-7 with both my main RF-7, RF-5 setup, and with our bedroom RF-35 and RF-3II setup. Just calibrate it right and it will sound great.
  16. I rented it when it first came out. I'm not going to buy it until the extended version comes out. I still havn't heard a date on it.
  17. I looked on the Sony website and they have a couple 34 in. sets with built in OTA tuners. Does your store carry Sony TVs?
  18. I think Sony has a couple new 34 in. TVs with built in tuners.

    sub's home

Congrats, you got yourself a great sub. It is rather large but I've had mine for over a year now and I only notice it when it shakes me off the couch. Get a copy of the Titan AE DVD in DTS and strap yourself in, it will really show what your PB2+ can do.
  20. Joe, I second what dkp said. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Good luck and get well soon.
  21. You don't have to recalibrate when changing from large to small. Once you calibrate your master levels will not change unless you change them. When listening in 2 channel just turn volume up or down to suit your taste, it wont effect your main calibration levels.
  22. I always have my RF-7s set to large with sub off while in stereo or direct mode. When I watch a DVD or DD movie on HBO, Showtime or Starz I set RF-7s to small and along with my RC-7, and RF-5s surround and RB5IIs rear surrounds I have crossover set to 60hz and let my PB2+ and PC-Ultra handle the rest. It only takes a couple seconds to switch from large to small, so no big deal. I have a couple of nice big amps I use with the 3803 so I get plenty of bass out of the RF-7s in 2-channel.
  23. I'm not familiar with the 2802, but on the 3803 you can have sub on or off for the different modes. I don't know if it's the same or not but on the 3803 when you are in say direct mode or stereo mode you push ch. select enter button on remote to switch between Lt.fr, Rt.fr. and SW. When it's on SW lower level one step past -12 and sub will be off. And congrats on the PB2+ an excellent sub.
