  5. Yes most cables in avaition are crimped with calibrated crimpers. The vibration incurred on the planes weakens the solder joints and wires. Later Bill

  7. Might be the ones that I called about a couple of years ago from the Church add in the paper. They went for about $ 600; I called and the buyer was on the way to get them. They even called me back to let me know they were sold. Later Bill
  8. Try the Last Samauri with all of the sword play; really makes the mid and high shine, then the Cannons bring out the bass. That movie was great on the LaScala's I had a few years back. I've had this Toshiba for a little over a year. Just cant seem to get color adjusted right. Anything that has really bright colors are just too hot. Later Bill
  9. Welcome and Hello to you all. Where are you located? There are deals all the time all over the place that some on here just cant pass up and need help with checking out the items before they commit to a purchase. Later Bill
  10. That one is beautiful. You are right on the local pick up the shipping companys sure know how to turn fine furniture into scrap wood. Let us know if you get some interest in them here. If not we can point you in the right direction to advertise them. Later Bill
  11. Beautiful LaScala's. Is that a Toshiba wide screen? It looks like somewhat like mine but it has a black border around the screen. Later Bill
  12. Autograph: Please Later Bill
  13. Yes Run and get them. I had a set of LaScals's and the wife hated the way they looked, they were black so that did not help, sold them and bought Belle's. She helped unload them and move them in the house. I had to wait for her to clean and polish them before I could hook them up for a listen. They do have a different sound due to the length of the mid horn and the bass section. It would be nice to be able to A/B the 2 models in the same setting so that the differences could be defined. Just remember they are not PLANT STANDS they are some of the finest loud speakers on the planet. Later Bill
  14. Sorry Wendy but that is as high as I can go due to the distance that they are from me. Should we decide to take a vacation to Fayetteville I may drop you a line to see if he still has them. Not planning a trip anytime soon but maybe later in the year. Good luck on a local sale. Later Bill

  19. Welcome and Hello Brother. Can you define within driving distance? There are several of us that have made road trips that were in the neighborhood of 500 miles one way to get a set of Klipsch; there are others that have gone much more. Also what type are you looking for as far as wood light or dark, exotic veneer or naked. Any preference for grill cloth light or dark or cane? What about vertical or horizontal mid horn? And what kind of price range are you looking at? How long did you have the Khorn's? Later Bill
  20. I take it you did not have this problem with the other speakers. Did you listen to these before you brought them home? Later Bill
  21. Those are beautiful. I had a pair of black ones a few years back. Well that is about all you can say about them they were black. The wife hated them from the minute she saw them and said they had to go. Later Bill
  22. It's all about location, location, location. They must like some other brand of speakers in Cali. Later Bill
  23. Welcome to the Forum. Sounds like your not getting a good Earth Ground to the electrical system of the house. Look around for some cornwalls; they are about 36 inches tall with a 15 inch woofer that will have plenty of bass. Seperate horns for mids and highs. I cant turn the volume knob half way up with my 430 and cornwalls it gets very loud. Use the search function here for some of the other speakers that may interest you. Heresy, Chorus, Forte. This will give you some idea of the size of them and what may suit your needs. Later Bill
  24. MMMMM Heritage Road Trip Yummy. Pic's please when you can. Later Bill
