Terriffic write up. It makes me realise how pleased I shouls be (and I am) with my pair. It's also a good feeling to realise that as good as they are now, there are always next steps to take to establish real improvement, which is rare in audio territory. Usually we're talking 100% extra investment, 1% improvement. What a great adventure ahead and luckily not into the great unknown, thanks to this experiment! Before that (must save a bit still for the next audio investment), I'll be tube rolling again, haven't done that in a while. Thanks Audible Nectar! [Y]

Hi Kevin. It's hard to give advice, when we don't know your budget. It's a fact that analogue technology has improved enormously since the seventies, like any technology. I would not pay $275 for a replacement stylus. There is a JVC QL-50 on ebay for $300,- Maybe if you sell the lot, add some savings and then buy a good, more modern set. Prices could be low due to the crisis, altough I haven't really compared. OTOH, there are good carts available for not too much. This forum raves over the Denon 103. If the arm can take that cart and be finetuned to it, definitely an intersting option. Tim.

That is terrible! Same happened to me a few years ago, also with a pair of MC 30's and also a lot of money... It's a $^*^ shame that these kind of people exist. Indeed next time shop locally or let people you really trust do the business, preferably pick up. Keep the faith, I finally did end up with a beautiful pair, thanks to this forum. Patience is hard but necessary. Wow, I haven't thought back to that evening for a long time. The horror! Realising your hard earned money is suddenly gone and instead of a beatifull pair of MC's you have an empty bank account. I wish you strength. Remember, in the end they ruined their own karma and you will overcome! Tim.

Really! They are super cool. I was at an art expo last week and they had them standing right there. First two hours cook the food and then settle down with a bottle of champagne in the tub. I miss that, sat in a tub in San Diego almost every night at my friends place, when I lived there. We don't have that in Holland usually. Sorry for being so OT. Greets, Tim.

I agree, most members or lurkers know that Mark's products have been marked 'outstanding' here and that customer care is oldfashioned outstanding too. So I guess all readers of this post won't take this post as a question of Juicymusic's quality and they shouldn't. This forum is as helpful as it gets, but for the quickest relief, call/mail Mark indeed. I am sure this problem will be resolved. If I hit that jackpot I mentioned in another post to buy that Rega cd player, the BB will be on it's way too.
