  1. Now the Heritage is still being made today so it is not vintage unless you buy used. That is whats great about Klipsch is they have managed to have many different product lines for different tastes. Reference and Heritage are both great lines.
  2. If I can ever find a job, pay off bills, buy a new car then maybe I'll try some Cornwall IIIs.
  3. Same here! When you have a very good recorded material the LS or KHorns sound is incredible! The problem is most recording are not great, if your luck they are okay. The thing I've noticed with Fortes compared to the La Scalas is that the Fortes will take alot of music that sounded bad on the La Scalas and sound okay even good on some on the Fortes. The La Scalas are soooo unforgiving on bad recordings it was frustrating. That is one of the advantages of Fortes, Chorus, and Cornwalls.
  4. Beg to differ- use Cornwalls as LARGE and you'll FEEL the difference. Nothing like haveing that LF swooping around the room with you! There isn't that much low end in surround channels if you set up your HT with speakers to small. No need to do that with the Mighty Cornwalls. Let em rip! Try it, you'll like it. I agree!! I tried putting the speakers to small and did not like it. It just sounded wrong to me. Put everything(3 La Scalas up front, KLF 20s for rears) to Large and much better!!
  5. Refrence are great speakers but I would not say you are missing anything. The Forte II is perhaps the best bang for your buck of any Klipsch speaker. The quality of sound you get out of the Forte IIs for what $300-500 is hard to beat! Are the Refrence better than the Forte IIs? Only you can answer that by listening to the Reference line to compare to the Forte IIs. I had La Scalas and had to sell them but managed to keep my Fortes and have not felt any real withdrawls since my living room is small and could never use the La Scalas to their potential.
  6. Only one RSW 15???[6] I bet you could have found another!![6] Trust me you need at least two RSW 15!!![6][6] You know why there is no KA meetings? Everyone is busy listening to the music and watching movies!![][]
  7. I'd be happy with a 4 figure salary right now. I'd be happy with any salary right now. [:|]
  8. If you did not get these Cornwalls wait and get another pair. I had Heresys for 16 years and loved them but Cornwalls are worth waiting for.
  9. Also check your areas Craigslist you can find good deals there.
  10. Why stop at Black? Has anyone seen the horns and woofers painted a different color?
  11. The writing is Japanese and they have gardens everywhere!! You can walk down the street and people will have beautiful gardens in the front yard. This would be handy for a garden anywhere with some Klipsch AWR-650-SM Rock Speaker. http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/awr-650-sm.aspx
  12. I am not sure but I am guessing the RC7 will have a hard time keeping up with the La Scalas. I had La Scalas with a KLF C7 and the LS overpowered the C7. I had to turn the C7 up so it was close to the LS but it never sounded right to me. Finaly bought a single La Scala for the center channel and WOW big difference: much better timbre matching and vocals were better heard during action scenes. When there is just vocals on the RC7 it will sound okay but once the La Scalas kick in you may notice the timbre does not match and the LS will still over power the vocals, it may or may not bother you. If it bothers you then try a Heresy, Cornwall, La Scala for a center channel speaker. Now I use Fortes for L & R with a single La Scala for center and the first week I noticed the difference and now I don't. Give it a couple of weeks and if it really bothers you then try finding one of the speakers I mentioned.
  13. I had SB 3 bookshelf for rears when I had the KLF 20s and C7 which matched very good together.
  14. Have you contacted Klipsch Tech support for info on ordering the parts?
  15. NO room for error or dang there goes a leg, arm, head or splattttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!
  16. When SACD and DVD-A were the latest craze I never found the selection very good. In fact it was very limited unless you are into classical then it seemed to have a decent selection. If you don't have any SACD and DVD-A discs then I would not get the Oppo blue ray universal player for that reason. Oppo should and probably will eventually offer just a blue ray player for half the money of this universal player.
  17. "Problems with bamboo floors The problems with bamboo floors are quite similar to those faced with hardwood floors. However, since bamboo flooring is a relatively new product, its manufacturers use a lot of hype to sell it. It is important to cut through this, to make an informed choice about the flooring best suited for one's home Bamboo flooring needs regular maintenance to be long lasting. Contrary to what many manufacturers say, bamboo floors get dented, stained and discoloured if they are not properly cared for. Bamboo is quite susceptible to moisture and damp. Too much moisture could cause either expansion or contraction of the planks, which would spoil the look of the floor. Many homeowners who have installed bamboo floors, say that they have noticed some shrinkage, especially during winter months. Staining is also a common bamboo flooring problem that a lot of people have experienced. Note: This can be prevented easily by coating bamboo flooring with wax or polyurethane. " from this website which goes over the pros and cons, history, and what to do if you are getting a bamboo floor. This is only one website about bamboo flooring soo like Jeff said do your research before buying. http://www.copperwiki.org/index.php/Bamboo_Flooring
  18. This is the way to do Cornwalls!![] Look great!
  19. Ditto!! I only watch movies. Now if I could pick 20-30 channels for around $25-30 a month then I would do it. As far as the topic goes I give that award to 24.
  20. I have a 50" and sit about 11-12 feet back which is just right for my living room. For me anything bigger and I would not like it. Now if I could move my couch back another 5 feet then bigger would be better.
  21. I've heard the 840c with La Scala IIs that sounded very good.
  22. Which wall are you going to put them against? The wall where the KHorns were or on either side of your home theater screen?
  23. Sounds like a good plan to me!!![] I know a guy whose wife told him he could have one room for his addiction. She could not tell him how to do anything in the room but the rest of the house was hers.
