  1. So why did you marry that withered up ol' sea hag, Paul? Christ, she's uglier than a mud fence! Must be the reason for all the bitterness. That's OK, I'll do you a favor and ban myself. I haven't really contributed much to the Forum lately, and no one really replies to my posts. And BTW, I'm not a rat-fink. So don't worry about me snitchin' on you. It's been fun, but it's time to move on........ Later!
  2. Any amp will clip no matter how much or how little wattage it is. Even if the amplifer can put out way more power than the speakers can handle, nonetheless the volume monster will still try to crank it and see how loud it gets. So now you clip a amp that is way more power than the speakers can handle.
  3. Then it's your mission to "correct" him Paul. Email him, tell him he's wrong. Imagine how much horrible advice he has given people. My god Paul, Hurry!!!
  4. If you hit "profile" they have a "System Profile" link.
  5. I live in Eastern Washington. A couple BB's in town for Synergy series. You have to travel to the west side of the state for Reference series. You have to go to Portland, Oregon for the nearest Heritage dealer. 300 miles away. Magnolia Hi-Fi sold RF series, but no more. I thought Huppin's in Town here was a dealer, but Klipsch doesn't list them as one. Yay.
  6. Sounds like the setup on the (Royal Device?) site.
  7. Yikes! Just hose down the ol' Cornwalls down at the car wash, good as new. I think you can wet down paper cones to a point, but not like what that guy explains. You can do it to straighten a warped cone, it ain't easy. To completely soak it? It would seem like you would ruin the voice-coil. Why didn't he just blow them off real good with air?
  8. 6 mths. ago, I couldn't hardly spell Klipch,,,,,,,
  9. "will never buy on ebay without using PayPal" You have a better chance of getting your cash back with a postal money order, than dicking with PayPal. I do use PayPal for items with low prices.
  10. I mailed out a USPS money for a pair of speaker drivers a Month ago. Still no speakers, so don't feel alone. I emailed the guy Yesterday. No replies yet. If he fails to reply after a few more times, I'm going to email and ask him if I should just turn the in the money order receipt for a refund at the post office. Heidi bought a spoonholder from a ebay seller on Jan 2nd. Paid with PayPal, and the seller sent the item priority mail. She finally recieved the spoon in the mail this last Friday. So you gotta factor in the mail system.

You'll find out that SS on Khorn's is boring and flat, after the PP 2A3 audition. You probably won't be too thrilled with SS and Klipsch again, unless you buy the REAL exotic SS amplifiers. And unless your listening area is really large, boogie-factor shouldn't be a problem with a 2A3 PP. And you will also gain experience building a kit amp. And if that really sparks more interest in the circuit topologies, you have attained enough or close enough knowledge to home-brew a tube amp. Limited by only how much cash you want to throw in to the project. But OTOH, kit's can be more of a economic outee than a home-brew, depending how deep you go. My two sense....
