  1. Comes with remote, wood case, extra tubes, power cord, manual, original box. Excellent condition, non smoking household. Recently serviced and gone through by MD.$1400 Shipped insured at your expense.
  2. Listen to both and then make your decision. But I'll bet dollars to doughnuts, you pick the Cornscalas.
  3. I've recently dug out my old turntable and vinyl and realize what a difference there is between different formats. My old tt is a nondescript Technics, but.... my favorite wife blessed the purchase of a used VPI Scoutmaster with a Grado Gold cartridge for Xmas. (She's a keeper!) I'm using a Cambridge Audio 640p with my Peach for tt applications. Anyway my question is this: Is there a discernable difference between mm and mc cartridges in the $500 range.
  4. There is a turntable for sale but the owner really doesn't want to ship it. Anyone one the area that would be willing to help? I'll make it worth your while. Mark
  5. Just a shameless plug but, I have a Mingda mc34a on the flea right now that Craig checked out last month. Got a brand new set of El34's in it. $400 pm me if interested.
  6. I spoke with Craig last week and he returned an amp that he did some work on for me. He's there, maybe deer season?
  7. Where are you located in MI? I have LaScala's, owned Cornwalls and now have Cornscala's. Go Cornscala and you'll never look back and say I should have done this or that. Mark
  8. Can you say CornScala? Get the best of both, you won't be sorry.
  9. It looks like many of both the negative and glowing comments are very recent subscribers to the forums! I have bought two Ming da amps and a preamp from them. Now granted these were both about ten years ago, but there do seem to be positive comments on the forums from long time members. One of the amps needs a new volume pot, but after ten years of use, that doesn't seem out of line and it is a an Alps Blue Velvet so it is not hard to get hold of to replace. Communications were prompt and the products were as pictured. There is also a retailer in Il who I have spoken with who sells factory units with warranty's. You may want to contact them. http://www.pacificvalve.us/index.html
  10. I've ordered from these guys and it was a smooth and hassle free transaction. http://www.cattylink.com
  11. Those look really nice! What grill cloth is that Greg?
  12. Hey Chuck/Mike I too bought the Hp4427 horns with p55v drivers. I'm going to use crites tweets and woofers for the other components. The woodworking I can handle but the electronics/crossover element is black magic to me. Is the rising rate due to the horn or the driver and is there a stock crossover solution to the issue. Cheers Mark
  13. Sun Ra's forehead medallion.
  14. Hey bigrfish, Which Selenium 1" driver are you using? Mark
  15. Sounds like a perfect spot for a Cornscala. You've got 8.5 cu. ft. to work with and you only need about 6.2.
  16. Thanks everyone for your input! Much appreciated. Mark
  17. Wow! I never thought about using a construction type adhesive. What about clean up if it oozes onto the exterior surface that will be stained or oiled?
  18. Titebond, Gorilla, any suggestions? TIA Mark
  19. Just curious on their performance with Klipsch Heritage speakers.
