  1. I am in the general vicinity....emailed, no reply. Will be happy to snag them if possible.
  2. I saw it about 20 minutes after it was posted. First what I would call "deal" around me with my new alert app. These would have been mine if I would have had a place for them. Can that same person come pick up my 700 dollar RF-7s? what's your new alert app? can you share?
  3. nasty stain on one of those grills....hope those weren't the bedroom set...
  4. Read this, look at the photos, see if anything strikes you as somewhat...odd.... http://southjersey.craigslist.org/ele/4775716817.html

    Whereiseverybody?

I think everybody is trying to figure out why they can't get to CL to check the latest and greatest local deals....CL has been under a cyberattack since yesterday morning, and as of about an hour ago, was down....
  6. I guess this thread should teach me not to get involved....ever.....in speaker wire discussions....I didn't say anyone was "stupid", or that any one brand was "better" than another...only that the very simple statement that the larger the wire the better, was in it's most basic form, not true...and that there are other factors in play. that's all. That's all I said. OK, so maybe "Bogus" was a bad choice of words....so sue me.
  7. That would be "Crazy Lunatics"....have fun.
  8. Well, sorry, this is basic bogus. -----courtesy of blue jeans cable----is not a very smart statement-----Simply being a large cable does not equal a quality cable......Quality of a cable is born from a combination of factors, a few of which are purity of the wire, construction, shielding, and size (and that's not all). And, I am NOT condoning spending untold thousands of dollars on speaker cable, mainly because I believe (in my very utmost humble opinion), that there is a tipping point between quality/cost/value. I have auditioned literally dozens of different cables to do my very informal research, with lengths borrowed from friends, associates, retailers, installers, etc, etc, etc. And in MY opinion, there is very, very, very, little AUDIBLE difference between a supposed mid grade cable such as a KnuKonceptz 10 or 12, and ANY cable costing 3 times or more (no matter the brand)....same music, same source, same speakers, same environment. OK, that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it....

    Redneck Cornwalls

I was looking for some Duck Dynasty tape to do mine in....but Walmart was sold out....
  10. Yea, they look kinda beat....I'd go $400, and that's it....
  11. I'm thinking some bada$$ upgrades on those crossovers!!
  12. Just ordered one for my wife. She's been hinting at something like this that she can use to listen to tunes and the occasional NPR podcast....thanks for the heads up!!
  13. Sweet, that's what we like to hear!!
  14. I have emailed this person twice, and no response.....at least would like to see some photos....
  15. Thank you all...again! Just came back from a stop at the local flea market (where I had previously found my $25 Heresy's....and found a really cool old early 50's RCA TV in a beautiful blonde wood cabinet, $20. The TV is trashed, but the cabinet is really nice, and it had some nice tubes in it as well. Thinking I might build a couple of shelves inside....will take some photos later.
  16. I am starting to look at the Roxul panels... http://www.roxul.com/products/commercial/products/roxul+rockboard http://www.buyinsulationproductstore.com/servlet/the-417/roxul-mineral-wool-rock/Detail
  17. Thank you all! There's a game on Saturday? Do we live in a college town? And for Gary.....paraphrasing Charleton Heston...."You can have my (amp) when you pry it from my cold, dead hands!" Or, you write me a nice big check...
  18. Do you employ much subwoofer? Yes, they are occasionally on the payroll...
  19. Thanks for that. It's funny though, if you just read the Menard's product sheet, it states an NRC of .70, but if you read the PDF spec sheet it is less....and almost $11.00 per panel...
  20. Always interesting to read the descriptions of these units (and other things for that matter). I didn't care about this, I didn't care about that.....well, I guess you just all around didn't care, and that's why you won't get a price that others are getting for these. Plus some of the photos crack me up....
  21. I am looking to install some SIMPLE, EFFECTIVE, REASONABLY PRICED (or downright cheap), panels in my drop ceiling in my basement/listening area. They need not be beautiful, or multi-colored, but they should be drop in and go. I don't have a big shop to construct a whole bunch of these. Probably need about....20 pieces for the ceiling (standard 2x4 ft), and then 8 pieces to mount on various vertical surfaces. Links and suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
